    Is anything truly selfless?

I feel like everything in life only becomes worthwhile through some sort of personal fufillment.

There always seems to be either a conscious or sub conscious mentality stored in our brains that makes everything we do selfish when it comes down to it.

Is there a difference between being knowingly selfish and being selfish but not knowing it?

Is helping someone you love selfless? Is helping someone you don't know or love selfless?

When you help someone, it makes you feel good. Although many say it's selfless, isn't it a really selfish gesture? In order for it to be selfless, you would gain absolutely no fulfillment.

    Food for thought.

selflessness is putting others needs before you. it is quite hard to maintain a selfless lifestyle as no one is perfect

That's how I feel. It's like we pretend things are selfless.

It's my personal opinion that nothing is selfless. If you put others needs before your own, it is because you feel like it is the best thing to do. This gives you a personal satisfaction because you believe you acted the right way.

That's why it's impossible to live a selfless life, unless you on purpose act in a way that you are certain you will later wish you didn't.

Assuming they survive, yes. If not, they could possibly do it for themselves because they know life would be worse than death if the person died.

Most people being SELFLESS, not generous, are not doing it for satisfaction. This is why it is called selflessness because you are thinking of others before yourself not so you can feel good about yourself but so others can feel the satisfaction that someone else actually cares

    Selfless is attainable, but unrealistic.
