My tattoo in the making!

Hey whats going on guys? I'm kinda bored and interested in what people think!, So I decided I would post the progress that's done on my tattoo so far. ​

Well before you see it, your probably gonna wanna know what it is. Well it can be translated into a couple of meanings. But the meaning I took it for has to do with the devil. Well as some of you probably know a little bit about the bible, Lucifer was once an Angel but then god cast him into hell. That's what the picture depicts. Another way I took the tattoo is to tell people I'm kinda half good and half bad. In the picture you can see he's reaching for heaven, and the part of him that's closest to heaven is still preserved and beautiful. The other half of him being cast into hell is deteriorating and crumbling.

What you see below was done in one 5-6 hour session, we're about half way done. There's still a shit ton more shading to do, and then some coloring to accent the heaven's and hell. By the way you probably can't read what the text says, but it says "Memento Mori" it means "remember you are mortal".

haha that was quick, your entitled to your opinion. Alright but lets say it was just a drawing on paper since you hate tattoos. Now what do you think?

Normally, I'm not really into tattoos.
However I will say that yours is very unique and well thought out. Most people would have done the first thing that pops into their head (often times regretting it in the future), but yours actually has meaning to it.
And for that I will give you a 9/10.

Thanks!, sweet bro what are you thinking about getting? Think it through though, I said I was gonna get a shit ton of tattoo's too when I turned 18, I ended up waiting a year until I found that haha.

So back to the question, any idea's come to mind?

hahaaa all good =), vile is a pretty strong word to use lol. I do like it!, I can't wait until I can get it finished. . .which is going to be like another 4 or 5 months until I can actually come home again =\

Thanks =), yeaa I wasn't gonna go and just throw anything on myself because I knew I would have it until the day I die. It'll look like shit when I'm like 70 but whatever, I probably wont hit 70 because "remember we are mortal" =p

 

I think you'll regret it later in life. But, living for the moment can benefit some things also.

Remember, there's always tattoo removal. But, I heard it hurts worse than getting the tattoo itself.

 

yeaa, They wouldn't be able to get rid of the whole tattoo anyway. In basic training they made this guy get a tattoo removed off of his neck, it was some name in script. I could still easily see the tattoo outlines from like 5 feet away and it was some what discolored. Pretty sure its expensive as hell too haha.

 

Well, as long as you're satisfied, I don't see what's wrong with it. Just don't regret it 25 years down the road .

 

Im not a fan of tattoos.

Im not gonna say I like this one. However I do like the Idea and the picture

 

Pretty brave if this is your first tattoo. Everyone says 'you'll regret it later', but as long as you really thought out the image and identify with it, you'll be fine; I know a lot of people who still love the ones they got 5-10 years ago.

Personally, I wouldn't have chosen to do this piece on your side, although I'm not really sure where else I would have suggested; the pose and size make it awkward to place.

 

Not a big fan of tattoos, but its your body do whatever makes you happy. Its still a good looking tattoo though.

Yupp, thanks...this was my first tattoo. And your right it is a very awkward tattoo to place, I was kinda torn between making it a back piece or on my side when I went to the tattoo place. He put it centered on my back originally with the stencil that rubs off on your skin, didn't like it at all haha. Side was the best option I think haha.

I'm 500 deep so far lol, thats a little less then $100 an hour.
