Do you believe the mayans? Will the world end in late 2010? I have recently seen a commercial of a dome that was made, supposed to "protect us"

I think is bullshit, just like the other doomsday prophecies. This is being hyped by media because they need something interesting to sell. It's all about money, and people buy the crap they are served.

 

Tbqh, i think it is a load of mother fucking bullshit.
Thats my simple answer, it came from the media.

 

It's not the end of the world. If you think it is, i guess that's your own opinion.
But if you really looked into it you would know that they said there would be a BIG CHANGE! It was also the end of the calender. So people assuming the end of the calender meant the end of the world took it to new levels. That's not even what they said. I'm sure something will happen 2012 but things happen every year that are of big change or a big disaster.

So the Mayans could of named several years off as they did saying something was gonna happen there. Think about it. There hasn't been a year that's gone by without a Major Event in history. Things are going to happen. I can say that 2017 there will be a BIG CHANGE! And end my predictions there, and sure enough, something will happen in 2017 and everyone will think that I'm some sort of God.

There will always be events that change the course of history.

 

Good point Pirate, I guess we'll have to wait and see what event they'll claim was predicted.

 

I personally dont believe it, also there are several other threads on this topic. I suggest you post on that topic. This is just one of those things where we wont know what it is untill it happens, just like one of those close up images you don't know what it is untill you zoom out then you see where its possible.

For all those people who believe it will end, if they would actually do some simple math, and realize the Mayan Calendar is not the same Calendar we use today, they would of noticed 2012 on the mayan calendar has already passed a LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG time ago.

 

Nah, that's actually not true, on the Mayan calendar it's not year 2012 but it equates to what would be 2012 in our years. Anyway, it's bullshit and people are always ready to shout about the end of the world coming in x years, just look at y2k, year 666, etc etc.

 

I got this right off of history channel . It was 2012 on the mayan calender.

I think something will happen. People manipulate it way too much. People basically read the Bible and see the rapture in scripture and manipulate it with the 2012 thing. A lot of people say it's the the time the planets align. I personally believe the most major thing is the planets aligning.

The rapture's actually not in the bible. It's mainly based off some vision a girl had in the 1800's >_>

I highly doubt that 2012 is the end of the world, and I've never seen any real proof of this.

 

If anything would happen, it would be from the chaos people themselves cause because they think it will happen - a self-filling prophecy.

I agree, 2012 in the Mayan calender has already happened 100+ years ago. And we use the Eastern Orthodox calender
