Weird thing happened (could it be a moderator?)

I was doing (Redacted), somewhere in a OSRS server, I won't explain what I did but after a few hours of doing this, I heard a sound effect, like a teleport sound from Teleport tablets and I saw a person spawn out of thin air (I didn't even try to check his name first, maybe he was a moderator and he turned invisibility off, or manually teleported here?), he didn't have any armor, and when I saw him I disconnected quickly, it was all in less than 3 seconds, hopefully he was not fast enough to click on a ban button or ip/acc flagging.

I have done (Redacted) like eight times between July and September of last year, 9 months since I did it last time (quite a while), and everything was normal, until today.

I would like to get an answer, not sure if I should log back in, if ban evading is a thing but I doubt it. I have not used bots, or bugs/glitch, not an exploit or not messing with the servers, I did (Redacted) though.

I want to also know if a teleport sound in middle of nowhere is a huge red flag, and not a game mechanic.

 

Update:

I logged back in, I am not banned yet with my alts, but definitely something is going on after I did (Redacted) today for a few hours (shadow banned, maybe), all my alts that were not connected and had the same IP address are still normal and nothing out of place.

 

I feel like if it was a moderator you would have been banned. However, no one else has the ability to teleport players other than moderators. Do you think it could have been a random event? If they even teleport anymore?

 

No, it was definitely a player, if it was an NPC it would have stood next to me, but it was definitely someone else, sitting like 3 tiles away with nothing between obstructing the path, with the teleport animation and sound effect, he came out of nowhere.

 

Also, I am still not banned but maybe flagged.

 

Only mods have the ability to teleport to players but to be honest this post doesn't really explain much. I wouldn't worry about this too much though since you're not banned or anything.

 

Update: I got banned, just my alt and I had a private IP address in a VM, my main is strangely not banned but probably flagged, what should I do?

 

As I said, I knew something was going on in my alts, I knew I was shadow banned from a trick but I won't post it here so Jagex can't find out, for more specific info from the timings it looks like I was banned around approximately 24 hours from the most likely "Flagging" of the account, Jagex could not right click fast enough or find my most important account far away from my alts in time because the sight of him and disconnecting asap took me less than 3 seconds, he would have to be a ban button speedrunner.

All my other alts are fine, the only ones that got affected are the ones that were logged in at the same time and in front of sight of the moderator, I got flagged/shadow banned right there 100%, the accounts were fairly young too, this was the only thing I did with those banned alts.

 

I know you probably lost some GP along with your accounts but in all honesty, that is kinda cool that you were able to experience something like that. In my opinion, worth a couple of bans and some GP.

sounds like a JMOD but IMO pretty cool you got to see that lol not many ever have or will

 

I actually am on the other side of the fence from most people who have posted. I don't think it was a JMOD. Tough to outsmart them on their own game. I doubt he'd have to teleport to you to catch you doing whatever it was, if he wanted to.

Also worth noting - RSPS staff have a command that makes their character completely invisible. If a JMOD did need to teleport to you to catch you in the act, why wouldn't he go invisible? Doesn't make sense to me.
