    Random Rise in Prices

Today all godswords, bandos armor, dfs's and d claws have just randomly rose up 900k+ after crashing a few. What can explain this and should i buy d claws again or wait.

There has been a jump in price due to many stupid people who do not understand how an economy selling all their items minimum as junk and then realise they still want/need them, all items will continue to rise from this point (well should do), they will go pretty high, drop then steady out. You could either buy now, or buy once they have steadied out with the spikes in price you can expect over this week and the next. I could be wrong but this will definatly happen soon, maybe not from this point. I'd buy them back now.

Don't buy one. They will drop again as summer is ending. If you want to buy again, but all the d claws you can in the middle of the year or around winter break.

    Sigh. Basically:

    1) People start school / see it coming, sell items.
    Now, this usually happens on a large scale, as it will during the start on September. As this isn't the actual crash;
    2) Other people see things are getting cheaper and buy them as they will be saving a few hundred k.
    3) People who have sold them haven't actually started school, therefore leading to a scale such as attached.

they will rise and drop as usual, to be honest people exaggerate the school thing, prices always go up and down because lets be honest a LARGE majority of people who play rs do go to school but what about the other people.

Wait a bit until you buy them back, once they get real low, buy a lot.

I'm kind of new to the Runescape market, so are you suggesting I should sell all my items now and buy back in a month?

Its sort of different this year Tedz,
Usually since USA Schools start these upcoming weeks people tend to sell their items because school means less online time. Everyone panics to get rid of their items for no reason, which causes them to crash. But this year it is different because the crash usually starts way earlier, but it actually crashed for 2 days and then went up 900k or so. Although I still believe its going to crash again I personally would sell my items now while their up.
Don't take my word for it.

MiM3 hit the nail on the head.. i am going into my senior year and just sold my 2 gs after the rise and sold them for 86m

i would wait for the REAL crash.. this "crash" that recently happened was not because of ppl leaving but because of ppl spreading the end of summer crash so ppl sold.....just wait till mid sep.. prices will be down more

    One word - inflation.

They're slowly nerfing pvp drop system, so you cannot predict anything related to Grand Extortion, at the moment.

Summer crash is just a myth started by a group of idiots and now everyone joins in and actually makes it happen.

People don't understand.. if less people are playing, as well as less people buying godswords, less people will also be going for hilts

Source of your information? As far as I know, they aren't changing it at all.
