Simple suggestion, but I have this on my website and it's pretty useful.



I'm not sure if there's a similar add-on on vBulletin but there should be. I just think it'd be nice to know who has visited your thread or other threads, etc.

The only problem with this is huge threads such as the new slogan thread will have a ton of names. There may be one that allows you to disable it on certain sections or topics.

 

I think that when the thread is created, the thread creator can check this option if they want to, that way on bigger threads, such as you said, won't have a HUGE list. I support.

 

Alot of lists would be rather large, but there should be a cap, like the last 25.

I'd rather keep my limited privacy the way it is.

 

Maybe have an option to where you can disable it, then again it would become way too complicated. If they can do it though it would be great.

 

Why not make it a privately viewable fact then? I'm not sure to be honest how it'd work, but maybe just the thread owner could see it. I don't really mind either way, but I don't see them adding it. :huh:

It's only really used by smaller forums that try to look more active.

 

No from me, firstly privacy, secondly the absolute huge amount of information added onto an already too large database.. etc.

 

Alright. I personally found it useful but I guess it's an issue for some people. As for the privacy issue, you might as well remove "Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread" too or provide invisible log in to everyone.

(edit) Could there at least be a "Viewed by X members" added on the "Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread"?

The only issue I see with it on Sythe is a huge list on big topics. I actually use it on my website as a way to keep records and such, even though it's not very active at the moment.

 

I support that idea... I would like to see it happen.

Not much of a perk. It just takes off a pretty common feature that is free on many forums and gives it to a few hundred people who barely even use it.
