Should i get a car?

Hi everyone, the question is should i get a car. I am 18 years old, and i am looking for a car, just to get to know the roads. I don't need cars for 1000-2000$. I am looking something like for 350euros. I live in ireland, the car will have no NCT, Or insurance. I know, its risky to drive. But, if anyone knows where is the best to get a cheap car in ireland. I am looking for something like this, anything cheap!

 

I wouldn't if you just want to drive for hahas, illegally...

 

If you don't have a job or another good reason why you would really need a car like commuting to school. You shouldn't get a car.

It'll be more of a pain really.

 

Get a car, get insured, get taxed and MOT.
not too expensive....

 

i'd get a bike, best transportation ever, wish i kept on using it....

 

This is a alright car for a first car. But definitely not good enough for the long run.

 

If you're not going to bother putting that extra money in to insure it, then don't bother.

 

Contrary to popular belief, having a car doesn't increase your chances of getting laid.

 

Well honestly looking at that car, that would more or less decrease his chance.

 

We are not talking about getting laid are we, if i learn how to drive with that car i will then car drive my father's car which is :

The insurance for me for that shitty car cost like 2000euro. So if it gets taken away, i don't really care. All i need is to learn how to drive.

 

That's a nice car. I'm only 16 at the moment. I'm going to get my license soon. Then I'm going to drive a Mercedes E350 that I pre-bought.

 

I beg to differ..if you get a car with a big back seat you are set..that was my first car

 

I only need a car to get to know roads, learn to drive. And if it gets taken away, i don't really care. So i think i am getting it.

 

If your not going to get it insured, MOT'ed or taxed then don't even bother.

Better to use the cash, and save yourself for the heavy fines and points on your licence you'll get when you get stopped for no insurance, MOT or tax.

If you do decide to risk it, you can pick up a tidy Audi A8 for a few hundred quid (or Euros)

 

I disagree, you are able to see more people (or girls) more frequently and easily, thus increasing chances of getting laid.

 

Or you could buy a car, and then drive a girl or girls to your bed. I guess a backseat works but even cars with large backseats it's still cramped.

Don't get a car unless you have a job which requires regular transportation. I don't know about ireland, but in the US you can get free bussing to school usually.

 

What year and how did you get the money for that. Seems kind of dumb to get such a nice car as your first car which your bound to strach/dent up. Also you would have to pay incredibly high insurance prices.
