Spammers - take away post count

Hey just a basic suggestion, Im not sure if its been suggested before but couldn't see it, when someones banned for spamming [not infracted, temp banned] i think to deter people from spamming they should lose 1/3 of their postcount, aswell as the ban, yes 1/3 is alot however if they've gotten a temp ban for their spamming then tbh its their own fault, its annoying seeing these posts that you can tell are so fake, people haven't even read the thread just generic *gl, i support* with no actual imput, its annoying to see people posting this and having like 1k+ posts, i think losing post count would deter people alot.

I think most people on Sythe agree spammers need another punishment. (expect spammers, of course ).
You should make a poll!
Personally I would vote for a complete removal of the post count if there are more spam-infractions (just one time is OK for me).

On the other side, mods work very hard on this forum to punish all the spammers.

That's a good idea except there spams are not really 1/3. They get infracted for a reason and thats pertaining to the 1 post. They should just delete thta post and kaboom. your fine.

 

Well they don't have to actually delete the individual posts to get the postcount, if these forums are anything like zeta/invis boards all a mod/admin would have to do is go onto the control pannel, search the user's name, and simply edit the post count.

Coming from someone who has 12 posts a day and joined in June 2009 as it is August 2009 now and has 700+ Posts. Hmmm.. but I think it is a good idea. What if someone gets banned for spamming and only has a few posts? 1/3 wouldn't mean anything.

 

I support. Considering that even though it shouldnt be done poeple trust others from their post count (not me but other people).

So if they spam/scam they should be less trusted thus less post counts

I'm active, i don't spam, theres a difference, So yes, coming from someone who is active on sythe and posts bescause i need/want to post, not because i wan't 100000000 post count.

Obviously if they only have a few posts it won't matter, this is mainly just for the people who have been temp banned and have like 1k+ posts posting 30+ a day, posting random comments and off-topic shit on people's threads.

I suppose, But what about the people who don't reach a perm ban, they just spam to like 1k posts and only get noticed after the 1k posts, they won't be stupid enough to do it again after their temp ban, but they still have 1k+ posts and fool idiots into thinking there trusted and stuff :embar:
