How to Spot a Good Item to Invest In?

I realise looking at charts and seeing items who's price fluctuates quite frequently up in down are good to invest in at low, but what is the best way to find items like this? Or even good items in general that will be worth investing in?

I just can't see how looking through like 100 charts to find a couple good items is worth it. There must be a quicker way.

but if you do decide to merch with them.. make sure to dump early or else you'll get stuck with a bunch of junk.

 

I would not even try merchanting with them, it's just not worth it for the risk.

 

I tried doing it once and ended up making 10mil on the merch.

You just have to dump early, it's pretty easy.

To the OP, if you've got enough money, join a private Merch clan that does not dump early. I've personally made well over 30M+ from mine in 10 days, it all depends on what you invest in.

Yeah I've already seen that guide, but not having the Most Traded Items thing any more makes it a lot more difficult.

I guess what I'm wondering is is there any good way to find a good item to merch quickly, rather than sifting through all the graphs one by one until you find good ones?

I mean even when you find an item that looks like it could spike for a good percentage, it doesn't make it a good item to invest in. For example, I saw that Black D'hide Vambs were down and should be spiking back up by around 300-400 soon judging by the wave. So I went and tried to buy 3000 at them. They would not buy, at ANY price.

So I guess what I'm asking is how do you identify a good item to invest in, because from my experience with the vambs clearly it isn't just looking at the graphs.

About how much mills do you need to start merching effectively?

Example: is it worth it to merch with 2m or just buy p pots and do aviansies?
Or more effective to start at 10m?

 

The more you invest, they more you make. I started at 25M, and now I'm just hitting the bank.

Glad you read my guide, I'll be updating it to work with the new graph system when I release Rune-Tips.net. The main ways of finding good items are still there, the drop/rise lists - utilize them!

 

Not being funny but with the amount of merch clans/cc's atm and the fact that the rs economy is so messed up and every level 120+ is able to make 1-10m every 2 hours gfrom 76king, it doesen't matter if an item is high or low, merch clans are just buying the item out untill they control the item raise it to w/e they want, look at prayer pots, 13k and still being bought out? goldmerch are trying to get rune cross bow [only takes 1 rune bar to make] to 30k? rs economy is ruined, if you don't have 1bil networth to invest you can't make anything big.

 

Thats exactly what I do, try to find an item thats just had a drop and now is starting to go back up (bouncing). Stock up on that item and I normally sell a little below the top of the last wave.
