Wearing an ID around your neck would just be a gay rule. My school they let you just have them in your wallet, and at the same time you can't have a chain sadly. And yes, that other guy's does sound like prison. The backpacks remind me of the orange jumpsuits.

It doesn't work that way. It's like basically a card with your name and picture on it. It's a bit harder than stealing a freshman's ID and doing stupid stuff.

Our school board if full of smart people. Trust me, this isn't the worst thing they've done. I'm glad I have one more year of it.

Haha, yeah basically that's exactly our system, which is rather frustrating.

I'm talking about school ID's not backpacks. I can understand a 5,000 student issue, but the school isn't huge here and most of the seniors leave at 12 anyway.

You have to have it viewable at all times, or are you allowed to carry it in your wallet? I always carried mine, but I always had it in my wallet.

That's how the system was here, but idiots start stuff outside of school which led to this. We have a crazy school board, that will make them enforce it. The staff including the principal don't even like the idea of it, but they don't have much power.

Tell me about it, it's not like they even check your ID's to verify it's you, it's just that you have an ID on. Not to mention our school is a close community where the teachers know nearly all the students, if not all of them. I would much rather them make us have it with us at all time, and just hand out heavy punishments for those who break the rule.

I should have said it more clear, as when I re-read it, I didn't tend to make sense  . But, I am allowed to carry it in my wallet, or pocket. The thing that pisses me off about my school, is that you aren't allowed to wear backpacks into the classroom, but girls can carry their purses in there. That's just as dangerous.

It is a dumb rule, but can be easy to enforce. All they have to do is when a teacher sees you without your I.D you get a mandatory 3 hours detention, and if you don't go you get suspended.

All rules/laws are much easier to enforce when there is a harsh punishment.

We have IDs, but they're only used to sign out library books, and the ID numbers to log into the school computers.

My school is in a fairly nice place, we have IDs, aren't required to have/use them ever, we can carry bookbags, wear whatever, have (Almost) anything in our cars, no random searches, etc. We also can leave school (Juniors + Seniors, but everyone sneaks off anyways) for lunch.

I'd personally be upset if they started enforcing rules like @ your school. I'd probably protest/bitch if they did this at my school.

Our highschool is shitty. In my sophomore year, there was a drug bust where the guy had alot of prescription drugs and a large bag of weed.

Ever since then there are random locker checks and a hell of a lot more random drug tests. In the last semester alone, I was tested three times or more a month.

    Fucking ridiculous tbh.

Haha this would be bad for me I've lost 2 in 1 term, so I don't even bother with them anymore.

    Only in America. .

We didn't have that problem here in Australia when i was at school, nor do we have ANY security at all. Totally different place. I guess ID tags are to keep you safe?
