Accounts.. Being Taken one by one

Wow. I had a couple of viruses, put them in the virus vault, then deleted them. Then briefly changed all my passwords on another computer. Then I reformat the computer with viruses. But yet.. my account's passwords are being changed. WHY? Am I going to have to ask for a retrieve... Every time?

 

Passwords too... A computer, Sythe, Runescape? Elaborate more.

 

Just because passwords are being changed doesn't always result in a virus...

User accounts in Regedit could be being set to different tasks by another program (not a virus)

 

I meant on Steam, sorry for not elaborating, I am a bit worried. At the time I discovered there were a lot of viruses, I immediately vaulted them, and deleted them, went to another computer, changed the passes for everything, STEAM, here, etc, and then slept. Then I went to the computer that had the viruses and reformatted.

Is that a bit clearer? But NOW I have had 2 accounts of my different account's passwords changed. I'm currently waiting for my support tickets on STEAM to answer..

 

Steam accounts are incredibly easy to hack/password-crack.

 

All my account passwords have at least one uppercase letter, lowercase letters, and numbers.

Edit: Pull that number back to one.

 

Understood, however Steam accounts are just very easily vulnerable to exploits and have a high chance of being hacked - password cracked.

There isn't much you can do except change your passwords frequently.

 

That's what I'm doing. I changed the password to one of my accounts TWICE yesterday, and it still got taken. The number is back up to two... >.>

God, I fee like they're just being picked one by one. And I can do nothing about it but WAIT for Steam Support which is agonizing.

 

Your problem is that there is a keylogger on your computer most likely.

 

It's really irritating when people try to know what they are talking about, yet they always go straight to - OMG YOU HAVE A KEYLOGGER OR A VIRUS!

That is hardly the case. Since Steam accounts are on the top 10 of easiest accounts to Hack - Crack and brute, you wouldn't think that is the problem?

 

Either a Keylogger, or a Stealer.

 

Get a new virus scan software, because your current 1 isn't cutting it.
