The Confederate Flag

Signs can represent something evil.

 

Only what people make them.

A smiley face can turn into something bad if enough people make it into that >.>

 

I honestly wouldn't care seeing people wear confederate stuff. It would just be a reminder that the north took a shit on the south's face.

 

That's why you're safe with the swastika.

 

You're still pretty much fucked over. Most people don't know the difference between the Hindu swastika and the Nazi swastika.

I don't really give a fuck if someone chooses to hang it, or wear a t-shirt displaying it. I just don't want anyone who represents it to spew their racist beliefs on me.

 

I for one, think it should not be allowed to be worn in schools. It was the Confederate's flag, they wanted slavery, so in a way its not as much as heritage, as it is racism. While it stands for what the South was at one time, the flag is somewhat meaningless now, although it can still be taken as racism. I too live in the South, I have lived in the South for four years now. Quite a few people here use it as a racist message.

 

A majority of school boards would never allow there to be a confederate fla in their school. There are a few which would, im sure. Theres no reason for it to be in our schools.

Im not racist or anything but i believe we should have our state rights back.
The south never lost the civil war we just went to rest..
The north had to get the frenchies..
I honor that flag with my southern heart.

It represents Southern pride. Not racism or slavery ect. Note that in the South the Civil War is also known as the war of northern aggression. When the the South seceded from the union they did not predict or want a war. They merely wanted to become independent. The war was over state vs. federal rights, it just so happens that the issue of slavery was the main issue that involved state vs federal rights. The south argued that because the federal government and Constitution was created by the states, the states had the power to declare an act of Congress unconstitutional and therefore make the law void.
