    Good afternoon,

    I am very sorry to hear the email account has been "recovered", i am in the process of trying to regaining access to the mail account however due to the phone number and security questions on the email account being changed to yours which you have already confirmed, I'm having to do this manually. Please note, the osrs account is NOT registered to the email account in question. The osrs account is secure and is attached to a different email account of the customer.

    As we discussed on discord, I was a bit skeptical of manual recoveries of email accounts, as I havent ever done this before and did not know till today that a manual recovery was even possible. While I do agree I sent the mail to them much later than when I said i did (I was at work, and really dint want you to worry) I did end up sending a recovery mail with all info to mail.com a while ago. Even though I have sent them the mail to try to recover the email account.

    Also, regarding the email, you mentioned that you no longer have access to the email ID but your phone number is still attached to the email. When I sent a recovery message to your number through mail.com recovery, you said that you simply did not receive a message, which as you can imagine sounds very sketchy to me. Will let the moderators decide on this.

    Secondly, your account is totally secure and it has not be removed from your possession, so no "Scam" has taken place, so please refrain from calling me a scammer. I have offered to help you but as you can see from my point of view, the situation seems very fishy to me and looks like you have sold the account and you are trying to get it back. You have even asked me to recover the account. If you really still had possession of the account, I dont understand why you were asking me to recover it. You said by me recovering the account, it would stop chances of anyone else recovering it, which makes no sense.

    Basically facts of this report are as follows

    1) Customer claims the email account has been recovered, but still has his number attached to the account, which makes it very easy for him to recover it himself.
    2) Account is secure and the customer has access to the email ID the account is currently linked to. Its been 12 hours since he messaged be saying he lost access to the email and the account is still secure.
    3) I did delay in sending that mail out to mail.com customer service as I was skeptical if they even allow for manual recoveries and was honestly caught up in a lot of IRL work. I was taking this lightly as you still have access to the account and Im sure no one else should be able to recover it. This was a mistake on my part and I apologies if it seemed like I was trying to stall, but this was not my intention. However I have sent the mail out to try and recover the account if possible..

    If mods have any more questions regarding the same, please let me know.

    I understand what you mean, but what you said in the morning really did not convey this. As per the image in my earlier mail, you just said If i recovered it, no one else would be able to. You were also pushing me multiple times to recover the account which seemed fishy to me. If you wanted me to keep the account for you in the meantime, why not just give me the account details, since you still have it in your possession?

    Moreover, its been more than 12 hours now since you said you lost access to the email, but the account is still secure.

    As confirmed by the customer, his number is still attached to this email ID.
