Apologies if It appeared like I was trying to advertise the Merchanting clan or anything, I just saw that crushed birds nests were rising DRAMATICALLY on the GE charts so I invested in them and made over 1 million profit in just 2 days... I don't endorse the clans in any way

But while I am here, I was wondering if you had any sources for a good item I should invest in atm? I have only just begun merchanting, so my initial cash investment isn't very high, which means I need to find a lower costing item.

    Cheers, And Sorry again,

Understood, it's easy to want to buy into an item like that. As a general rule, anycrap item that's rising dramatically is being manipulated and should be avoided. I'm including a chapter on clans and why they fail in my next-gen Investing guide (releasing end of the month with Rune-Tips).

Theres a mistake at the end of your guide it says "compiled my merchant in the dark". im pretty sure its supposed to say "compiled by merchant in the dark."

Oh and since your finishing up rune tips i can also finish up my guide for your website.

Thanks for the catch, there are going to be a few typos considering how late I stay up to make these guides..

I may make Rune-Tips available to a small group of beta testers for a week or so to help me root out errors.

I'm running with masks and godswords at the moment, I'll look for some lower-level items tomorrow.

Start thinking long-term - school starting is a huge factor in the RS economy. What doyou all think this means to the supply and demand links between raw materials and finished products, and where are the profitable invests going to be? Discuss.

The ammount of raw materials eg logs, ores, fish well generaly alot of things will go down because alot of the rs players go to school/have some form of job and with it being the start of a new term/semester/whatever the fuck its called items will decrease since more time 5-6 hours of runescape players lifes are at school/work(that is if the player is working non stop for a goal eg 99wc,99fish etc) or mabee killing a monster for a rare drop and the kills per hour decrease.

Glories look good, but don't expect them to top the previous spike. Put about 20% of your cash into these, no more.

RS Emperor, I'll PM you about the account soon :]

Sold my Glories for Med today, pretty good profit for 2 days.

Brine Sabres look good again, stock up on them, Graph is here

You can buy for med atm, but they don't come in automatically (now at least an hour for 100, got mine in about 30 minutes)

EDIT: Can only buy for max, come in very slowly now

Sometimes its hard to predict graphs

Try Brine Sabres now, you'll need to buy for max in ge, but will make about 5k profit per sword.

Thanks for the suggestion! However, that's not really my investing strategy. Generally I try to stock up on a crashing item at min the day before it bounces. Usually it is bought out by the next update and I rake in the dough! That did work for the pages and Graahks, but I wasn't able to get to a computer for a few days so I missed the dump. Oh well.

I'm going to scan the charts today and post a few items.
