When you look back on things, people seem to complain a lot when they see spam around the forums, or threads that need locked/moved. In turn, one would naturally call the Staff lazy, or careless, etc.

That I look at it now, the users of Sythe put together as one are another Moderator completely. As users, we are given the option to report other's posts, threads, and scamming if it is to occur. With that right, we are basically Moderating the Forums, and all the Mods have to do are look at the reports to clean it up.

So, next time you wish to call the Staff lazy for seeing some spam around the Forums, try to think of it as yourself being lazy as a bad Moderator, for not reporting the spam.

Hm. Just what I noticed from a suggestion I posted.

I report spam all the time. =P

I don't think most mods are lazy, though. Most do a good job.

Alex, lets begin with, we aren't payed for what we do. We do work for free essentially. Don't begin your "well you benefit from the position" argument, as I do not.

Secondly, you get rejected for OMM and you go off and start saying that the "staff are lazy because the members are lazy". Honestly, we have one of the more hard-working staff around, so if you'd like to complain, how about you give some actual constructive feedback instead of your current all-over-the-place argument. The members are all members, they can report spam etc, but the mods do their fair share too, its not just the members reports. Basically you're calling mods lazy without any constructive feedback, and in general this thread isn't feedback
Thanks. Most do a great job.

I've never used that as an argument, and I never would have any reason to. -_-

I'm not here to argue, first off. And this thread has absolutely nothing to do with being denied for OMM. And the "Staff aren't lazy because the members are lazy". Members are active on the forums, but the cleaning of them is supposed to rely somewhat on the members, and the Mods don't seem to be able to go through everything every day, as they have their own lives.

The thing I don't understand, however, is when people report spamming and a Mod takes care of it by infracting said user, but doesn't delete the post itself. Is that not the whole reason to infract? To clean up the forums?

I'm not arguing though, and I'm not complaining. I'm basically hating on myself for a user suggestion I made the other day calling the Staff lazy, and I'm saying that it's not the Staff that are lazy, but it's me for not reporting it all. As a result, I've been reporting it all now, post by post, every 300 seconds.

This I know, but I'm just saying that the community itself is basically another Mod due to the amount of reports that they send in to try and help clean up the forums. Users are not required to click that button, but they do it out of free will in order to be of some help.

    Pas du tout!

I'm calling myself lazy, as the Staff do things that can or cannot be seen. This will mostly apply to Admins, and sometimes Globals, but I really see no way to give any constructive feedback to the Staff when they're really doing nothing wrong.

It's somewhat satisfying that people don't abuse the reporting system.

    ^

This isn't a feedback thread, this is more of an "i'm sorry for calling you lazy, but i'll say you're lazy anyways" type of thread.

Requesting a lock due to this not being a feedback thread, just a personal "I'm sorry" thread from dear unb4nn3d which he can do on his own time, via PM.
