"One of the Greatest fakes in the World Wide Web"

A man goes barrelling down a waterslide in a neoprene suit and jumps into a tiny pool. This is a hoax.

 

How'd they do that? I mean obviously it's faked, because the jump distance wouldn't be that far, not to mention the fact that the pool would have like collapsed... But how'd they do that?

 

It's so zoomed out while they are going down the slide. Seems like they could've just panned the camera from left to right and then put in the 'person' afterwords. Have a person sitting waiting in the pool and when the timing is right they just stand up and pretend they made the jump. No idea if the water is fake on the pool or they just had a way to push a bunch, but I'm assuming that is just edited in as well.

It seems like a fairly clever way to fake a video because;

1. The guy is wearing pure black - It seems like he needs to because that is his wet suit, but pure black is just very easy to have drawn over things and not worry about shadows or light changing too much.

2. The whole shot is zoomed out - It seems like this has to be done so that the camera can actually catch the action of this huge jump and display it all at once. By having it nice and zoomed out it's easier to edit the jumping guy in because he is far away and requires less detail. (Don't forget he's pure black too).

If the splash and what not were fake too then it is easier to make them look realistic, because you're just watching it from far away. They don't have to worry about making it completely realistic because the camera distance makes things low quality by nature.

 

When I first saw this a week or so ago, I had to rewatch it several times just to grasp what I had just seen

 

It's was amazing how many people that saw this before it was announced as a hoax thought it was real.

You could imagine the out takes if it was real. >_< It's pretty cool because of how clever it was made.

 

It was obviously faked, but still amusing. Took me a while also to get it through my head that it was faked.

 

It's obviously edited when he's flying through the air. But it is possible that somebody could do that. You would have to get the math just right. The slide and the amount of water thrown down the slide would have to be proportionate to the man's weight and area. Not to mention the distance and then wind speed etc.

 

Thats some pretty good editting lol, guy woulda been killed if he hit the pool at that speed lol.

that was quite possibly one of the most amazing videos I have ever seen. they are really creative, that made me lol so much.

I thought it was real,after reading ur posts ,you guys crushed my hopes of doing that.
