Here are a couple problems I'm having.

    - I always come close to death in the graveyard. I walked up to my computer this morning and I was just sitting in the graveyard with 3hp, fixing to die. It appeared as if RID had just stopped. It went fine for several hours before this.

    - Every now and then RID just stops, for no reason I have identified myself.

Just clear your cache, and temp. internet files and it should work. If not wait a few and try again.

But in all reality, Mozilla FireFox is way better and more secure than IE.

    1) Re-Check settings, if Vista turn Aero off, classic theme, etc etc.

    2) No.

    Check #1

Quick question, for anybody that's been doing this for a while.

What item(s) should we buy to make the most profit? I believe I've used up around 9-10 hours split up over 2 days and I have just collected enough points for inf boots.

As Jagex may or may not be monitoring this thread, please PM me any information or tips you have..

Very interesting sales post you have there OP. Unfortunately, the part where you tell me that your bot is absolutely undetectable in case I follow your guidelines is all lies.

    Check out http://www.pullyour.info
If they really wanted to catch all of you guys, they would implement something like what is shown on the link I gave you. They'd scan for your visited websites against a blacklist of sites and ban your account accordingly.

There is another way. However, it would probably force them to change their TOS a bit. Simply taking a screenshot of your desktop every once in say, 10 minutes, scanning the screenshot for certain bitmaps (say, the toolbox on the top of the RuneScape client) and again you're banned.

Both of these methods described above ARE in use by online poker clients. Both of them are also pretty much fail-safe and completely automated. I really do wonder if Jagex hasn't implemented any of them yet.

Check the prices of infinity items on the GE and then figure out which one makes the most profit. Its what I did and worked fine.

Probably ran it in 2 separate days...

    1) And how would they scan your history of websites without your consent? Just changing their TOS would'nt be enough. Besides, its easy enough to clear your cache before you play.

    2) Way too much effort for Jagex, millions of people play and they wont want to go through 100 screenshots per person a day. Not worth it for them. And what kind of bitmaps would they find that are so different from regular players? The bot doesn't change anything...

Your absolutely right. They COULD implement something like that, since JRE is a sub process of explorer.exe most of the time; it wouldn't be hard for them to automate this to check for certain processes or bitmaps, or even what tabs you have open in your browser. Reece pointed that out a long time ago, however they cannot and will not without altering their TOS and Privacy Policy. If you read the new Q&A update they had, with questions being answered by Paul, you would get the idea that implementing such tactics to prevent macro's would be a little too meticulous for the company right now. Even if they do eventually try this out, we'll know about it when they alter their TOS & Privacy Policy. Even then, processes can be hidden, programs can run in the background, it won't be hard to compete with it.

pullyour.info is a website trying to scare you with threats that leaving a trace of your browsing history can lead to being fined millions of dollars. Miraculously, they have the solution, which is to pay to subscribe for software, that they claim several times on the site they are not affiliated with, in any way... So you believe that?

The truth is, all you need to do to prevent this type of scan pulling your visited websites, is delete browsing history! You don't need any kind of special software. If you don't believe me, try it.

This type of browsing history scan requires use of software on your pc (flash actionscript), and is therefor easy to notice, and easy to prevent, the fact you even ask 'I wonder if Jagex hasn't implemented this yet?' shows you don't understand what the scan does and how. If they were doing it, it would be known for a fact. But in any case, anyone who's visited robotzindisguise.com lately who takes this test, will see, there is mysteriously no trace of robotzindisguise.com in the scan. :D

If you believe some bullshit website's attempt to scare you into buying a piece of crap software nobody needs, then you should not be criticising RID's sales pitch!

The second method of taking a screenshot, will never be a problem for anyone using RID, because RID plays through the official client, and leaves no mark on the screen. Even to catch the kind of bots who do use their own clients that would be visible from the screen, scanning screenshots sounds like over-kill, and also would require changes to the TOS that would upset more people than it's worth. I doubt Jagex will ever do this.

I've been using it for several days now, and have made.. roughly 3.6m. I'm keeping well under 8 hours a day though. I've also advanced 13 levels, I won't say anymore -- but I'm pleased with RID. My only bother is how it needs to be baby'd. I'm only using RID for 99 mage, but babying it the whole way is going to be a pain. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it can't seem to go more than a couple of hours or so without something happening.

Make sure your screensaver doesn't kick in during breaks. If the bot can't see the desktop when it gets back from a break, it quits. It sounds like this could be the problem.

The Al-Kharid Smelter continues to messup every 30 minutes to 2 hours, but I have a netbook semi-dedicated to Runescape botting so it's not too much of an issue.
