1 defense... or 40?

I keep failing at the fight caves on wave 38 and 45, as I am 1 defense. I'm considering getting 40 defense, and then going for my firecape. I'd be level 54 with 1 defense and a firecape if I succeeded, or 64 with a firecape if I succeeded. What would you do?

 

If you have the money to keep at it, then stay 1 def. If it doesn't matter, and you really don't care too much, then stay.

I'd say keep one defence and let a firecaper do your cape if you can't do it on your own.

 

Keep the 1 defence, i can give you some tips on how to beat the fight caves with 1 defence if you want.

 

40 defence pures are good for one thing, killing other 1 defence pures, zerker pures or rune pures can do alot more then pk, 1 def pures just can't, i recently wen't zerker on my 1 def pure, didn't regret it, applied to hf and like rs alot more on it now tbh.

Not to mention bh/pvp loots get better the higher your combat/total levels ^

 

I'd stay once defence because personally I would regret leveling my defence up to 40 just to beat fight caves. Do as you wish

Well you'd be ruining a pure, and if you're ok with that then do it.

If you're intent on getting 40, get it through the required rune pure quests, so you can become a rune later.

 

get a firecaper to do it they never fail if you get a good one. And 40 def is only good if you want to waste money on statius/vesta.

 

The problem is, I've never known how to get a firecape at 1 def. I'm not financially active right now until I sell some of my accounts either .

 

Get 40 defense, you'll own. Plus you'll probably end up getting your combat level higher anyway and pures with 1 def get owned in Pvp.

Anything up to a maxed pure will thoroughly own anything with defence their level.

 

Yeh but they hardly have anything worth Pking for on them. The big bucks are with the higher level guys with D claws ect. Lower combat your just going to be pking people who have rune scimmys all the time.

 

what would be good attack and strength levels for 40 defence? I would imagine they would be pretty high.

without knowing better, I would probably stay 1 defense until I got bored and then go for 40. I think 40 is a good compromise between PK and monster slaying.

 

fire cape with that range lvl and def, don't bother.
Get 40, if it's dedicated for a fire cape.

 

Get 45 defence and do all the quests for barrows gloves if you have the paitence. If not, just stay one.
