    Dorito's Ban Dispute.

    User Name: Dorito

What can I say, it’s hard to leave a place like this and never look back. So here it is, here I am, my final dispute, some would call it my story, and I, perhaps my farewell. I’m posting this dispute hopefully to tell my side one last time and to get an unbiased final decision. Whatever decision is reached I will respect, I only wish for a fair dispute.

I was banned several months, if not a year or two ago for allegedly scamming another Sythe.org member of 20M RSGP. I was an OMM at the time and had been a merchant of RSGP for some time. The total trade ran about 40M RSGP, but I told the other member to split it in two trades of 20M RSGP each.
The trade started like any other of the hundreds of trades I had been in, nothing seemed amiss. The plan was for the member to put 20M RSGP worth of items on his account and leave him at the BH entrance. The member agreed to go first just for the record and to clear up any confusion. After I would transfer the 40M RSGP worth of items to my own account I would send him the money via my verified PayPal account.

I have my account ready and setup so then I finally log in to place his account in BH where I want it to do the transfer. I enter BH with his account and run a ways, log out, log in, run a ways, log out, and so on making my way toward the spot. Then, when I try to log back in one of the times it said the account was already logged in.

I ask the member if he logged in he said no, so I simply waited. Finally, I logged in only to see myself standing at the entrance to BH with nothing on me. I immediately ask my friend who I had in the MSN conversation (he was helping me transfer the items and protect me in BH) if he had saw anything. He said yeah, he saw me (meaning the account) log in and run a ways then die to another account.

I then tell the other member what happened and he immediately accuses me of scamming him. I obviously do the same to him. The rest can probably be seen in several threads in the Report a Scammer archive.
The member posted a thread shortly after we were done talking on MSN stating I scammed him. I was immediately demoted and given a TWC. It then went back and forth for several days until a staff member finally moved it to the Staff Lounge and I was told it was being discussed and a decision would be reached very soon.

Then, here is where I basically dug my own grave. At this time there was several staff members who were somewhat biased against me. It also didn’t help that these were primarily the members who dealt with my first appeal which was denied. It also didn’t help that I faked pictures claiming the member messaged me on MSN saying he had scammed me.

The conclusion of this dispute is that I never did scam nor was I ever proven to have scammed anyone. There was never any proof against me nor did anything indicate I had. The main thing that I believe resulted in my banning was my own immaturity in the matter and the actions I chose to take during and after the event took place.

All I ask is this to be reviewed and to be given an honest explanation behind whatever action or inaction is taken. I realize the rules state that you must dispute your ban within a month of it happening, so if this dispute is denied solely on that reason I guess it’s what I’ll have to live with. If I can be given an exception to the rule and have this dispute reviewed it’d be greatly appreciated.

If I get unbanned I can’t wait to delve back into the boards and start contributing once again. If the decision remains unchanged, then this is my last good bye. Hopefully not my last good bye, but if so, peace Sythe.org, you’ve been good to me.

To be honest, I believe him.

His story makes sense, and I was even scammed like this by someone named Itz Karma (Or something similar).

That alone is enough for a permanent ban.

Even if it weren't, you have provided no new information since your dispute was last considered. Too much time has passed to have a reasonable debate of the issue, it would be further unfair to change the decision purely because the composition of staff has changed. Votes cannot recur simply on a whim. Unless you have new information, the staff's previous decision stands.
