Unless you want to re-build the computer on your own, which you would have to have one of us who know how or someone IRL help you, you're going to have to get it fixed.

It's not a battery problem because it wouldn't turn on at all if it was.

Well, this happened to my home computer, and I was told by the technician who tried to fix it that one thing had gone wrong, that caused another thing to wrong, that then caused ANOTHER thing to go wrong and so on like that, and in the end it just fucked up the motherboard. It might be that, try taking it to a few different computer repair shops and see if they can work it out or do it cheaper.

    laptop won't start help

If you can hear fans running, and the laptops on but nothing is on the display (sorry if this isnt your situation but the youtube vid was laggin bad on my crappy laptop) but if that is the case, then its probably just the small problem of either one of your ram sticks are loose, or one went bad, do you know if you ahve one ram stick or two? if you know how , or find a video (it really isnt hard a t all) if you have two ram sticks pull one out and try starting up and if it still does it put that one back in and try the other one. but if you only have one stick your ganna wanna try a new stick im thinking. hope this helps!

are you getting any pattern of beeps when the light is on if so look up the codes on your hp and try to diagnose it, if not a computer repair shop will do it faster and cheeper than hp usually.

If you think it's a overheating thing blast it with your pedestal fan and put it as close as possible.
