btw...From USA the Xbox Will be NTSC ... Here in Egypt there is a great advantage .. We have PAL (More used) & NTSC ...So no problems shall occur abut that , right?

They are sold in Texas, I am sure of that. The console usually comes with 1 wireless controller, and additional wireless controllers are usually 49.99-64.99 USD.

60gb - $300 new in stores
120gb- $400 new in stores

The only difference is more capacity to save and download, if you plan on downloading games over xbox marketplace than get a 60gb. If you have a lot of cash to spend though and plan on downloading A LOT of stuff, spring for the 120gb elite.

All 360's are white except for the 120gb. The 120gb is black and the controller that comes with it is black too.

Xbox 360's come with 1 wireless controller. The 120gb comes with Fable 2 and Halo 3, both awesome games. The game that the 60gb comes with depends on where you buy it from, some don't come with any game.

Microsoft wired controllers are $30 and wireless controllers are $40. You can by offbrand controllers for $15-$20

The PS3 is a more powerful console, but the difference is not a big one. The reason people prefer xbox 360 is because the online play is a lot more fun (although Playstation Network is free) and because there are more good games for the xbox 360 than for the PS3.

No, Xbox 360's are very reliable. They come with a 1 year warranty, so if your 360 is broken they send you a box, you ship the 360 to them, and they send it back fixed free of charge. If you are past warranty they will charge you for repairs. The hotline for xbox 360 in america is 1-800-4MY-XBOX (i'm not sure what the number is for egypt, it might be the same)

Arcade is the xbox360 with the smallest space i think its 256mb, Elite has 120gb hard drive.

Arcade is like 200 dollars and elite is 400 if u buy brand new. (Not sure about the prices, someone can verify)

Arcade is white and elite is black, arcade has one wireless controller (white) and elite has one black wireless control.

umm.. new xbox360's have new Falcon motherboard so its doesnt get RROD (There is slight chance that it will get RROD but u can get it fixed for free).

This Xbox is GREAT. Comes with 3 processors that make the gameplay VERY fast. This is for people that would like to enjoy an amazing gaming experience. The 120GB HD is also amazing, because you'll almost never run out of space.

 

I just came back from Arizona the other day i live in the uk. While i was their i looked at the consoles and tbh the Dollar to the Pound isn't as good as it used to be and it really isn't worth buying a console from the states.
1) Price isn't that much better
2) You'll have to buy all your games from the Us as games from the Uk won't be supported on the console
3) You'll have to buy a new power adapter for the console as the Us console will have a Us plug.

Red Ring of Death, also know as RROD is when your Xbox 360 basically breaks, something goes wrong as the 3 lights pop up to show it's broken. It is possible to fix yourself (if you know what you are doing) but that breaks the void sticker and therefore your warranty becomes invalid. The best thing to do is send it off to Microsoft. The shipping fee's are paid by them as long as your console is under warranty. Usual warranty is a year but Microsoft has added 2 years extra to every console seeing as the occurence became so popular. It happens usually once in the whole time you own the console so you don't have anything to worry their. Takes about 1-2 months for the console to be repaired and sent back.

Lol your internet Dvd ripping sceme is almost certainly not going to work. Well unless it is a popular thing and i havn't heard about it. Xbox's don't play off Dvd they use a special kind of disk thats hard to get when it's clean (unless you clear it yourself which you would need some high-tech burner/ripper) I'm not sure which zone Egypt is in but my freind got an Xbox from Asia and he has to buy all of his 360 games off Ebay or Amazon because his Xbox can't play games from the UK. Although buying games from stores may soon change, if your going to be connected through Xbox live their is a new update comming in a couple of days called games on demand which is where you can download games through the console. Depending on your internet connection this may take a long time and alot of space on your hard drive. If you think you might do this there isn't that much variety of games to choose from (they may be bringing alot more out in the future though) and the space you will need will ahve to be collosal as an average game is 7-9 Gb and the Elite's hard drive is 120gb, so it's not many game sif you think about it?

And about the adapter thing... did you mean you already have a different 360 power adapter or your going to use your Ds one, because the Ds one will not be compatable?

Oh and Btw a HDMI cable is an offshoot extenstion from the normal cable, basically instead of plugging in the normal yellow lead into your tv (aswell as the two audio red and white) you have these extra 3 leads dedicated to enhancing the visuals. It only works on HD tv screens assuming that they have the corrosponding ports. The HDMI cable comes with the Premium and Elite consoles but does not come with the Arcade version.

 

I don't know where you've been, but there are hundreds of mod chips you can put in your Xbox to let you play burned games downloaded off the internet.

However, MOST of these chips will get you permanently banned from XBL. I had one of these chips in my Xbox, but unfortunately I was banned shortly after. I would not recommend using a mod chip because they can be expensive, and they usually get you banned. Unless you find a flawless mod chip that you know for a fact works, don't use them.

As for the HDMI cable.. It's a high definition cable. Meaning you can watch movies/ play games in high definition, if your TV is compatible. This is a great feature if you love good graphics.

Lastly, yes I do think the regular Xbox is fine. It's good for regular gaming, playing shooter games, etc., etc. I would however, recommend the Elite, if you have the means to buy it.

About the adapter ... As you know that the charger in usa is 110 volts ... but (as you don't know) here in Egypt it is 220 volts , So I bought a 220/110 Trans. to make the adapter work!!.

The chip itself will not get you banned from XBL its the games u play on it, if you download and use crappy made version then it can be banned.. u should always check the sectors.

And all the xboxes are same, some just have Hard drive (Nothing else is different, hardware is the same.)
Also some have HDMI cable but u can buy it seperately anyways.

I mean if u get the chip that allows u to play downloaded games, it wont get u banned from xbl its the games u download on your xbox.
