Getting rid of RuneScape related donation ranks

You can no longer donate RSGP, why keep the rank and confuse future donator's.

Any image can be sized and shaped so it looks good. Saying they would look terrible is just a lazy person giving their opinion.

"RSGP donator guy"? What would it be changed to? RSGP is not a currency that can be converted into USD, CAD, AUD, Euros, Pounds, Noks, or any type of real life currency. It doesn't happen. How do you convert RSGP to USD?

 

So, if someone donates 100M to the site, then this is implemented, the current going rate turns into $350, or however much it is at the time. Does that person lose their rank if mills go up or down?

 

RSGP is sold into USD, hence Usfine.

Hence why the ranks are not in exact price.

Because that's the currency they donated in. There was a point when donations weren't accepted at all, so at that time should we have removed them just because donating wasn't possible?

They don't continue the icon at all anymore. It's just recognition that they donated mills. It's true that the mills have real world value but at what rate? Different sellers sell for different prices so what's the set price?

RSGP was taken away as a donation. USD never will be.

They are not loosing their rank, they are only getting it switched.

Listen, they donated in RSGP. They got a rank saying they donated that RSGP. Why should it show something else just because you can't donate RSGP anymore?

I do not understand how our arguments are worse than yours. You discontinue the ranks but for what? They don't accept the donations anymore but why can't people keep it? The truth of the matter is: They donated in RSGP NOT REAL WORLD MONEY. WHO GETS TO SET THE BAR ON HOW MUCH IS EQUIVALENT TO THE MILLS THEY DONATED? Back then, mills had a different market value while many sellers sell it for variational prices. There isn't a universal price for mills so who gets to determine that? There are too many people with that rank (some are inactive) and it's a huge hassle going through the list and removing it and adding more to another. They just got off a crazy spammer/scammer streak >___> let them rest..

 

Then why do you have a rank for something you never donated, and some people take some pride for donating pixels/real life currency.

For those who have not donated they have no say in this argument. Until you have donated you may debate whatever you may want about donation ranks.

You are trying to defend a rank that the current rank holders may not even want and would rather have IRL money ranks.

Has it ever occurred to any of you that the only reason they paid RSGP is because they did not have a source of paying IRL? Unless you are RSGP donator you can argue this case successfully.
