[Cancelled] Sythe.org Oldschool RS F2P Deathmatch Tournament! Sponsored by Alch.com

This event is starting Monday June 21st, and the tournament will be held on Saturday June 26th.

The event will have two portions.

You must start with a level 3 character fresh from tutorial island, You will have to train that account as much as possible using any methods in 5 days.
All eligible participants will be formed into a bracket style Deathmatch tournament. Gear and inventory setups provided by the CDT. The tournament will be held in free to play at the duel arena.



To register your account to participate you MUST screenshot the your stats with username in the picture and send to @Chich.
You MUST also go to ALCH - Buy and Sell Runescape Gold and register your Sythe.org account name with their live chat for the event and post a screenshot of you doing so in a reply to this thread.



You are not allowed to start training your Account until Monday June 21st 12:00 AM EST.
You cannot name change once your account has been registered.
To be eligible to win prizes you must register your account for the tournament with BOTH of the methods mentioned above.
No botting or services are allowed in this event! All accounts must be hand trained.
Your account can be trained any way and does not have to remain free to play. Only the event will be held in a free to play world.
Your account has no restrictions on how high you can level certain stats.
You must use the free to play gear setups and inventory setups provided by the CDT at the time of event.
You can use any combat style during the event. (mage, range, or melee).
You can only use one of the gear setups each round. (you can switch between rounds, but cannot use multiple styles in a single duel.)
Breaking any of these rules will result in disqualification of prizes.

Wait I'm confused we are only using iron scim , mind runes and arrows? Can someone elaborate on this ? Also defence levels are ok? prayers ok? what are we allowed to do and not allowed to do I'm kinda confused :X

After understanding it better im confused why we are using such low level gear and equipment this really doesnt make much sense xdd

 

@Yellow_Hat_OSRS_Services think hard about what this event is really about if the fighting setups are bad

 

That doesnt make sense... why would you even train your mage past 40 for the mage defence? Also using range would clearly be the best since having defence would always negate the attack bonus of an iron skim and range is op.. Just need to get 70 defence 85 range and nothing would win against it lol.. Nah def not participating this is a time sink and doesnt really have a unique feel to it at all. Whoever put this together could of done a really nice job with a PVP style event but instead its lazily thrown together. Thanks for hosting but its dumb and should of be much more creative than this especially since its the only pvp style event I've seen in 2 years.

 

Just using range in general in osrs is better if there arent spec weapons involved and especially since limiting this to robes and lowest tier spells. Iron skim wont hit on anything over 40 defence but range will hit on robes even if they have 70 defence.. So yeah this is dumb could of been more creative than just saying heres some trout and robes NGL...

 

Limiting it to only 1 attack style per fight kinda ruins the nostalgia of f2p range pking into the rune scim/2h for me so I won’t participate but best of luck to everyone who does decide to.
