They didn't lie about the fact that they were going to take over the Iraqi government, they actually did that. Which means that they did intend military combat, and I was right.

 

The country has that ability AND RIGHT because it's a super power that must keep smaller more radical countries in check. They're just trying to prevent a nuclear war.

But they lied about the WMD's which they said were in Iraq. This is what convinced many it was a good idea at the time. I know that if WMD's were never brought into the issue, the war never would have been as big as it is.

 

The US has the right to invade and tell smaller countries what to do based on their own sense of morality because they are a super power?

No, they have a right to protect the world from a nuclear holocaust. If a dictator like Saddam got his hands on a nuclear warhead, there's no way to stop him from using that WMD against a smaller country like isreal. If he uses the bomb against isreal, isreal calls for retaliation. Nukes fly between Iraqi allies and Isreal's allies. Every crack-pot nation who has thier hands on nuclear weapons launch them towards thier enemies. 1/2 the worlds population is dead, the other half die from the nuclear winter that ensues.

So, yes as a super power, they have the right to neutralize threats such as the WMD's that were supposidly in Iraq. Once none were found, they should have left. Not just USA, but GB and countries like France have that duty also.

There's also no way to stop the USA or Russia from using nuclear weapons. Don't you find it extremely hypocritical that the countries with the most nuclear weapons are telling other countries not to get them? What if a country with nuclear weapons went to war with a country that didn't have nuclear weapons? The smaller countries just want to increase their military power so they can stop being fucked with by the bigger countries. The real reason the big countries don't want the other countries to get nuclear weapons is so they can keep their place at the top of the food chain. Then, like always, they disguise their plans with an intention to keep peace.

 

Thats not true. The US has a three branch system in place to prevent anyone from getting too much power. Before a nuke was launched, you would need aproval from the senate to do so. In a dictatorship, there is no senate. There is only one absolute ruler who doesn't care what the people say.

There are also consequences to those super power nations if someone one ever did launch a nuke. These include being WMDed back, and political sanctions by nations of the UN. No country wants either of those and no developed country is dumb enough to actually launch a nuke towards someone until one is launch at them.

 

You do realize that Truman ordered the atomic bomb to be dropped on Japan without approval from anyone? They president only needs approval to declare a war, but he can deploy troops and drop bombs at his own will.

 

That was a different time. The nuke was just developed, and there were no safety measures in place unlike the modern day. Why do you think Bush had to go through the senate to get more troops for his "surge" in Iraq? If he could have sent 200,000 troops to Iraq without being approved by the senate, why would he go through congress?

 

There is no international law book that gives the US the "RIGHT" to invade other countries for "safety" purposes. Iraq is in no way entitled to the US, if the US did have a "right" to go into their country, then they wouldn't be fighting us right now. Invading Iraq to check for weapons is just like you breaking into one of your neighbor's houses and searching it for weapons and expecting them to not fight back. Of course if it was the police with a warrant, that would be a different story. But fact is, the US is not the police of the world. No one appointed them to be, so they have no right to invade another country. Therefore they are just like the person breaking into their neighbors house.

 

There were 4 planes that went down. 2 in the towers, 1 was thought-to-be brought down by the people in the plane (to avoid hitting the specified target) and one in the pentagon.

Yet so many people on board the plan that "hit" the pentagon made an AMAZING amount of profit from the war that ensued afterwards. Could it be said that maybe the plane never did hit? I mean if chiquita bananas will use terrorist to guard there field why can't a company that makes war machines use the idea of them to make money?
