Magic+melle pures?

What blend of skills works best as a average ancient ice caster then melle attacking pure?
Level 1 defence with ghostly and dragon claws/dds
Level 20 defence with mystic and dds
Or only 1 defence and 1 attack but obby maul?


Please gimme some answers. In case os flames i got firewood

Out of those choices 1 def d claws/dds, but imo g maulers are better, blitz maulers, 1 def 50 atk high str 82 magic+.

 

1 Defense and 60 Attack. 20 Defense is pointless and 1 Attack? Lmfao.

 

Blitz Maulers are only good for PJ'ing, and now that's gone. So..Unless you see someone in the wildy standing around doing nothing, it kind of is useless.

You get ~34 Attack from a DT pre-req.

Blitz with Dragon claws always work,
But hey, so does blitz with a G Maul and this could be lower combat with higher str.
So that's something to think about.

 

blitz g mauler, 50atk 82mage 75-80+str... works like a charm.

20 defense is pointless. Mystic only gives you a slight bonus in accuracy. You're better off saving a few combat levels.

 

Just be a tank, their pretty much unstoppable If you play them properly

 

I like the 1 defence pures with dragon claws. They deal maximum damage.

But i also have an obby mauler. Its the best! . It was a bit of a pain getting it to such a high strength level. But its honestly worth it.
