Troubles figuring out my graphics card.

So I google'd it, did the dxdiag thing, went to display.




So can anyone help me figure out what my graphics card is?

 

Why did you use DirectX do try and figure out your Graphics card?

You do it via control panel.

 

That involves going into device manager right?

What would I do from there?

 

My Computer - Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager

Or you could just right click My Computer then click Properties.

Expand the folder labeled Adapters

Usually for Windows XP user's its 'Display Adapters'

Not sure why you don't have it.

 

Network adapters?

 

Try clicking System Devices and seeing what you get.

I don't know why you don't have the correct folder, you must have a older version of Xp.

If its not in System Devices try;

click Start > run > in the "Open" box, type dxdiag > when DirectX opens click Display and information about your graphics card is shown in the "Device" section. You can see the name of your card, as well as how much video memory it has.

Lmfao, your computer is shit no offense. Two of the easiest methods have failed on your computer.

The last thing I can tell you is to click start > right click on 'Computer' and click 'Properties.' Once you get there, show me a picture because I believe it is different for Xp users.

 

What's the make and model of your computer?

 

I'm 90% sure you have a ATI Mobility M6 with 16MB DDR

 

Where would I get the latest updates for that?

Trying to play shaiya but need to download the latest update for it.

 

In the properties, try clicking 'Hardware.' This has to be the most difficult explanatory process I've ever tried to help someone with... It's almost as if your computer doesn't want you to see.

 

Try looking in Computer Name, if its not there I don't know what to tell you, you are going to have to google it because it's no where that its suppose to be.
