Chance of being banned for afking?

I've been wanting to afk during some of the training I do, for long periods of time, 1-2hours+. I know this is bannable, but what are the chances that I'll get banned?

I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT BOTTING.

Example: You put on guthans and afk at bandits, or you set up splashing curse/wind strike on the spiders in lumby basement and let it sit for a few hours.

 

If you are not using a bot, you don't have anything to worry about.

 

If you bot, do hunting as u get very little randoms.

today i hunted 2k+ chins and only got 1 random.

 

Odds are high now. don't do it.

Also: botting is for fags, do it legit to earn moar credit.

 

So basically, you're saying all that bot are, for use of your crude term, "fags", Pheromone? You are a fool. If you think that, why did you join a cheating forum?

And the chances of you getting banned while afking, is high. Your bot might run across a random it cannot solve. Jagex will monitor the time taken to solve it. They'll know its a bot and ban your account.

 

I'm not talking about botting, I'm talking about afking.

Then its even worse. Jagex has set it so that after a short period of time. The creatures won't automatically attack you anymore. And your plan will fail.

 

It is a very low chance of getting banned. Although most spots where you use to be able to AFK train stop after a few minutes...I use to AFK train all the time and never got banned or infracted.

Well with the new afk rule in place, alot more people report for afking and that does lead to a perm ban.

 

You get a warning first from what Ive seen.

 

Well... Knowing I got from 88 - 99 attack AFKing, as well as 92 - 99 strength AFKing, you might have nothing to worry about as long as you talk to the peers around you as they talk towrds you with questions and what not. I used to afk for around 1 - 4 to 5 - 8 hours a day, if not more while watching movies and what not. If your a high level, I don't think you have anything to worry about (I was 118+ - 120+ at the time)

 

My cousin got 99 attack and strength AFKing probably from level 80's. He got that last summer a never got banned... I don't really think it's bannable - because you're still sitting in front of the computer checking up every so often.

 

If you get banned, tell them you wasn't botting.

Doubt it would come to that.

 

its considered botting if you do afk read the rules

 

i afk'd 1-40 defence (1 atk 1 str) at monks on a pure. didn't get banned. although near the end they made the monks not heal themselves so you couldn't afk there nemore

 

You won't get banned if you afk. Only botting.

 

You will most likely never get banned AFKing

 

i didn't even know it was a new rule o.o that sucks.
