It is NOT possible for YOU to perma change your IP

Okay, Now a common misconception is that you can just magically change your IP adress. Which is so far from the truth you'd need a universal compass to find your way to it.

There are a few ways that it can be done. First, Contact your ISP (internet service provider) and ask them to change it for you, This will not be easy because that will require them to refresh THEIR DHCP server. That's the server that hands out IP adresses.

The Second way, is use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) That will temproarily change your IP adress. This will slow down your internet considerably.

Another way, is use a Proxy, This is much like a VPN but it is only useable in a browser, any such as I.E,Firefox,Opera,Chrome,Safari,Exc.. So this is good if your IP banned from a Forum. This will also considerably slow down your internet connection.

I am a Whitehat hacker, a security expert. My father is 3rd in the world at what he does, and that is a DNS/DHCP internet systems specialist and gets paid 180,000 USD a year for doing it. So he know's what he is doing and I have learned from the best. Anyone who try's and contridicts me is wrong.

I may have forgot something, I'm tierd. I only wrote this because I'm waiting for my herbs to grow. lol If this is in the wrong section then SMD.

Yeah, anyone who contradicts you is wrong. I wonder why your dad is third. If t's in the wrong section, SMD? That's gonna get you respect.

And, there's one more way if you use dynamic IPs. You go to your network adapter settings, click manual, and fill in everything yourself! Don't tell me I am wrong because I know I'm not.

Dynamic IP's is not changing your IP's It's simply two IPs that change every once and a while. On top of that, Only certain ISP's provide dynamic IP's and is not avaliable for everyone. So yes, You are wrong.
I am not looking for respect etheir, I do not care if you respect me or not.

I don't believe you can really just change your ip, I've asked my friend at the ISP he works for and said I'd have to actually have him do it.

It doesn't matter what you believe. First, He couldn't "just do it". He doesn't have that kind of power. Secondly, I'm talking about temproarily changing it. Which IS possible.

Wow, i'm so jealous Mr. Whitehat hacker, please don't get your dad to hax me with his mad h4x skillz. If you're going to try to seem smart in here, at least use decent language.

Also, i'm sorry if someone correctly contradicts you - they must be wrong! You are the end-all know-it-all, you are god of all things intelligent and therefore must be believed on every word that spurts out of that amazing whitehat hacker mouth of yours.

No, you're wrong. I'm sick of seeing your bullshit threads.

I have a dynamic IP and I've never had the same one twice. Ever. and I've been with my ISP a long time.

    Assuming you're on windows:
WIN + R -> cmd -> ipconfig /release -> turn off and unplug modem/router (or both, depending on your setup) for about 30 minutes -> sign back in.

    Enjoy your new IP.

IP's are hard to change if you have a static one, but many Sythe users have Dynamic IP providers. I'd suppose the general misconception is that changing the router settings to direct different local IP's changes the real IP...

But whatever, this thread is stupid.
