Second Photoshop work EVER

So, I got ahold of my own copy of Photoshop today. I learned the basics and made a random display of what looked like a button because it was in a tutorial that showed me how to use Text, Stroke, Textures, Drop Shadow, and Bevel and Emboss.

I was recently playing my Pokemon game (yeah, I know) and had the urge to mess around with a pokemon render, and using the Gradient, Filters, and smudge tool, I came up with this, which isn't half bad imo.

It IS only my second time ever using Photoshop, so don't be too harsh on it, it's basically just a lot of smudge :O

 

I don't see any gradient filters... First off, you should smudge only 1 way to create flow. You smudged the whole render, and that makes it ugly. I recommend you get some smudge settings and some new brushes before you post another. It's not bad for a second sig, but it's plain.
