[GUIDE] How to stream music/files to any computer

got tired of searching youtube video's on school? Well this tutorial is based on how you can listen to the music that is on your computer from another computer (say school or something).

Step 1: First off we are going to download VibeStreamer. download it here: www.vibestreamer.com You will be asked if you want it to stream on startup and check for updates.

Step 2: In the main window of vibestreamer you will see a couple of tabs. Go to users and groups. Here you can decide who can see/hear your files. Click the right mouse button on users list (blank) and create a new user. Give in a username and a password. You can also decide the max of users connected to your server.

Step 3: You also have the choice to add users to a group. You can do this at the group list (also blank) and add a new one.

Step 4: Now you have done all that its time to select the files you wanna share! Go to the tab sharing and select add with the right mouse button. Choose the filepath and you are done.

Step 5: In the settings tab you can give your server a name (users will see this in the browser) and choose the ip-adress. Leave the ip-adress to all-unassigned. Choose port 80 if you don't want to get this: http://192.168.0.246:8081 (port there is 8081) If you set it to port 80 you won't have to put anything behind the ip.

Step 6: You may want to select some extra settings. You can also do this in the settings tab. You can choose to log bad logins or who has listened to your stream. And you can choose the file extensions that will be showed (mp3,wma,jpg etc)

Step 7: You can also choose which ip's can connect to your stream. (Not needed if you already have a password) You can block all other ip's from accessing by putting in the ip-adress: *.*.*.* and choose disallowed

Step 8: The moment is finally here. You're ready to stream! Go to stream server and press start. You can see who is connected and if you double click a user you can see his statistics.

Step 9: Test your connection by typing in your ip-adress in your browser (use ipconfig at start>run>ipconfig) and you will see the ip-adress. It will ask for your password and username. If it says that you are blocked from the stream that is because you probably entered *.*.*.* you still need to allow your own ip-adress and the ip-adresses of other people.


I wrote this myself so sorry for the bad english. This is really handy for school and stuff but note that you have to have vibe streamer enabled on your computer to listen to your stream (you can turn your computer on in the morning and start vibestream)

Your English is fine, actually, I understood the guide pretty well. This is useful, but maybe put a couple of pictures in to make it easier to follow the steps.

Don't even try to say this is false. I am pissed that you have $120 from me. What makes me even more mad is before I sent it I told you to save me 9 Thrones and you said you have plenty and then you said you got it and have no Thrones. And about the post on your market, I wouldn't post on this thred but for the past 2 weeks I have been trying to get a hold of you but seeing as you blocked me on MSN (Wonder why...hmmm maybe because you scammed me) I now have to resort to this.
