    Explanation of the trade: I had bought an account with an unregistered email (10 hp 99 str) for 600m OSRS GP from this user: MenaceJ (MenaceJ) on April 25th 2021.
    I registered an email and proceeded to train Herblore, Crafting, Construction, and Fletching to 60. As well as fishing to 58 / acquired full anglers outfit.
    I then sold the account for $300 Paypal to: Gold2Us (Gold2Us)
    Gold2Us proceeded to play on the account and all was fine until (to what I have been told by him) he had a worker of his train the account.
    Now the account is locked (I was able to verify that it's locked by attempting to login myself as he's supplied the current password for me to do so)
    When trying to unlock the account, it claims to send the unlock email to the registered email address (Gold2Us's email) however, he states he does not receive any emails.
    I checked my email and nothing has been received on my end as well.
    I went to MenaceJ for assistance unlocking the account via account recovery form and he was denied (he has also provided all creation information)
    It's still within 1 month of me purchasing this account from MenaceJ, so I believe I'm still within the allotted refund time (no terms of service were agreed upon) MenaceJ has offered to put in one last recovery attempt today, but I'm posting this just in case it is to be declined once more. (I have reason to believe it will decline again) I am opening this report for a refund if the account cannot be unlocked (Of which the account or the refund in it's entirety will be returned to Gold2Us)
    I'm also questioning the legitimacy of the creation details retained by MenaceJ seeing as he stated that the account was created in February (on the 12th), but when I checked via Hans in game (the day I bought it) Hans told me it was created in January (around the 5th).
    I've provided this information to MenaceJ for additional recovery attempts but so far it's been denied 3 times (jagex has provided that it's relating to the creation details) he has tried both January and February.
    I've submitted about 5 recovery requests myself, however I get denied instantaneously. So the closest we've come is via his attempts. (Which shows that at least his ip matches up)


    How they scammed: The account is currently locked (within a month of purchasing) and MenaceJ is currently unable to unlock the account. MenaceJ's recovery attempts have been denied, multiple times, thus far. (No terms were agreed upon)

    @Devil, I've been in close contact throughout the report, giving him the exact time I will respond to the report, as I haven't been on PC yesterday.

    To give you a short summary on what's happenening:

    bYu came to me to buy an account (10 hp 99 str) back in april, which went smooth and he's played it for nearly 1 month without erorrs.
    Suddenly it became locked, and a unlock was neccesary. After unlocking the account through jagex their website, no email was received on the email that bYu registered to the account. (The email used to change passwords after buying)

    A recovery was performed by bYu, but got instantly denied for unknown reasons. After which we've initiated a recovery on our own, sending everything to bYu his email adress.
    This one got denied, even though we've delivered the accurate ISP, creation date, country the account was made in, previous passwords (delivered by bYu), financial details regarding how many bonds are used on the account and birthdate used upon creation of the account.

    Half way through the report, it was made clear that the account we're trying to recover had been resold to someone else, having another email registered to the account. So instead of recovering it through bYu's e-mail as he requested, we've tried to do so through the current owners email adres.
    Both times failed as well, even though recovery information is stored and accurate. Overall, it's an weird situation as unlocking an account, is done so by simply logging in to the account, sending a PW request towards the email that's registered to the account, and that's it, it should have been unlocked.
    The weird part is, the current owner claims he simply doesnt receive emails from jagex, even though he showed the correct email adres being registered to the account.

    "(Of which the account or the refund in it's entirety will be returned to Gold2Us)" Our opinion on this is, if we're giving a refund, we're in our right to do endless recovery's untill we got access to the account. As for all we know, the current owner is hiding the email from jagex in order to obtain a refund. (We've never heard about registered emails becoming unregistered)


    Account has been sold to bYu for 600M, resold to Gold2Us for $300,-. Incase the verdict is to refund, a refund of 600M OSGP shall be given towards bYu.

    I know I'm probably going to get into trouble for this comment - But I had a similar situation happen with an account. It had a registered email address but on Jagex's end the email wasn't registered. I had to go back and forth with emails to jagex support for the email to finally land in my inbox. Due to the multiple email changes in a short amount of time they generally reset the linked email to the login email(if it is a login email) so if it is a fake email login like [email protected] etc you may have issues getting the email to come through to another email address, even if on jagex website it says its registered too.

    as you mentioned «the current owner is hiding the email from jagex in order to obtain a refund.»

    i am the current owner, i have to strongly disagree on what you have said about me. I have bought and sold many accounts, sometimes i get stuck with jagex and the sellers would assist me in helping with the account recovery and it works fine.

    The Account being locked by jagex, reasons : hacked or stole.”different ip detected”
    Because of that Jagex has unregistered my email*

    *a photo of my email showing the accounts that are registered by it, and this account is not one of them after being locked it has been removed by jagex ( i showed to bYu, ask him if you want to see it )

    note: I have showed bYu a photo that the account was registered by this email

    @MenaceJ saying negative things about someone is not an opinion, its just weakness...

    Sorry for my english, just to clarify “ Because of that Jagex has unregistered my email*” “unregistered” i mean to say “ unlinked “

    No claims were made that you actually did so. Also, I have no knowledge on who you are, as it was for the most part unknown untill later that it got resold to someone else. (after which I also only knew the email adress of the buyer.)
    Everything said and done is displayed here, just waiting for a moderator to make the final verdict.

    Hello,

    Hopefully @MenaceJ, you are able to recover the account but if you are unable to, @BSDuo is entitled to a refund.

    If @Gold2Us wants a refund, then he will have to open up a separate report against @BSDuo or handle it between themselves. Please let me know once this is resolved.
