The Runescape Economy W/O Macros

I would like to see what people think would happen if all the macros were taken out of the game considering they provide almost half of the raw materials, i for one think prices would shoot straight up on lots of items and the economy would be total trash for a while, leave your thoughts and comments below please!

 

Prices would slowly go up probably.

 

RS would suck, basically. Everyone would quit, prices would drop, and it would ruled by the 100 or 200 players left.

Yeah, without the bots the economy would be no what stabilized and weird things would start to happen

 

thats exactly why jagex wont rid the entire system of bots

 

they kill player bots
like players botting for themselves
but they wont shut down massive macros
they help the game
selfish bots are being banned, just like u an me.

 

i take it u didnt play when there were always 4+ bots per yew tree, and fishing spot everywhere you went. you could get yews for 250-300. Sharks were about 400 ea, and lobbys were about 100 ea. every raw material was dirt cheap. jagex baned say half thier bots(being generous), and prices sky rocketed, you can imagine what will happen if all the bots are banned

 

The main reason people a actually trained their accounts back in the day was because they had 'real pking' instead of this bull shit.

There is no point to train your own account now when you don't get anything out of it.

Prices would slowly decrease due to the loss in activity in the game, eventually causing a crash in the came because hardly no one is active anymore.

prices would go up, but it would stable out the game, currently getting 99s is very easy fletching is only like 500 gp per yew (where as it used to be like 300 but it would be like 700+ without bots) it would make the game harder for sure

 

Skilling would be worth it, rsgp rwt price will go up, accounts will be alot more expensive, tbh i think it'd be better, although thats my selfish opinion :noworry:

With no real pking to fall back on, I can't really just sit around and skill anymore without bots.

Obviously, when just RSBot goes down for a few days, the prices go up even then. So, if all macros were gone, I'd say the economy would see serious hyperinflation.

 

Can't really fuck an economy that's being ear-holed by everyone playing the game. In all honesty, taking out the bots wouldn't have made the prices as bad as they are today.

They took away wildy, and trading, and RS is more popular than ever... lol

 

Yeah I remember back when RWT was still allowed and all the gold websites would farm like fucking crazy, mostly on yews, sharks and lobsters. I mean to give you an example of how bad it was when everyone got banned, while I was training my cooking, I had about 25k raw shark or so to finish me off to 99. By time I cooked them all and resold them, I made 9m profit off of them... so yeah if all of a sudden all accounts that bot were banned and there were no more bots available, then rs economy would be shitting their pants. No one would be doing any skills that actually require you to buy mats, im sure everyone would be skilling.

 

Taking out the bots would make everyone quit. No one would train legit for no reason. The only reason people trained in the first place was because they had pking to fall back on. Now that there isn't even that there is no real reason to train your own account.

 

If all the bots were gone, Skillers all around the world would be partying hardcore because raw materials would skyrocket.
