Merchanting- Love it or Hate it?

I personally absolutely hate merchanting, but I wanna know what you guys think of it. I think is sucks that prices rapidly rise soo fast... I think all items should be stable

I tried it on some threads on other forums that said "Oh invest in this SHIT MY MONEY" and I didn't realize it. I tried it on items in guides, then I realized "OH SHIT MY MONEY JANUARY 06". Then I tried it on a normal guide and got bored, sold the account with the offer still up.

I hate it. I miss the old merchants. They didn't mess with prices too much. In my opinion, it's cheating (manipulation merchanting).

 

I love it, very profitable if you have a good amount of starting cash and know what your doing.

Made over 10+ mil from like 100k from purely merchanting, all f2p too.

I hate the G.E merchanting, its like cheating and scamming in the same way. I miss buying rune scim at like 25k then selling them at edgeville for 35k a piece because people were desperate for them, made so much money off of that. But now, even with people wanting rune scims and 2hs just as much i have to wait 15 mins after every 2 trades becuase im making 5k a trade, its bs.

 

Very profitable only if you know what your doing.

I'll be honest, I didn't think so many people would hate merchanting, but judos to them I stand firm, I hate merchanting

 

i love merchanting, real merchanting not ge price manipuation they are two completely different things people.

I hate it because it's an xp-less way to make money, and it's for kids that suck and don't have the stats to make money properly. (Just buying items and hoping for a rise instead of actually using a proper skill he/she worked for).

Old merching was the best, GE merching sucks.


Plus, those Merching clans mess everything up.

 

Three ways to "merchant".

There's flipping, investing, and Ge Manipulation. Pick one and hate on it, pretty obvious which. The other 2 are ok.

completely ruins the point of a grand exchange, even though money from it is easy... makes me not want to buy anything for even a short term use. HATE IT

 

merchanting is completely off cuz of GE. Back in the day, merhcanting was fun and worth it. Now its just dead.
