What do you think about it?
Is it morally right? Should it be legal? Why or why not?

It's sexually immoral. Why? The Bible says no (Leviticus 18:6-18). As a Christian I try to follow it.

Should it be legal? Maybe, it's a hard question to answer. If both people say it's okay and they feel right about it then they should be allowed to do what they want. It's just another government control.

 

It is wrong in very many ways.

Why sleep with a family member and cause a child to have deformity's.

 

I don't see any good reason from stopping two consenting people from doing something that only affects them.

 

Incest is wrong. Not because the bible says it, as biblical rules are being bent and broken to fit the masses, but because it leads to diseases and deformities. Look anywhere in nature, incest is a no-go.

A saw a TV-program once, where two gorillas were raised to (the zoo-keepers hoped) live together and have children. When they grew and became adults, nothing happened. It was concluded that this was because the two gorillas had been raised as "brother and sister" and therefore wouldn't have any kids with each other.


Incest should not be legal. It shouldn't even be an issue. It's sick and against the way of nature.

 

It is very likely to affect the children. Both physically and socially.

 

Baldness is taking it a bit far, but your other two examples are good. People with serious genetic problems should not reproduce.

 

I believe it's wrong because of what it cann do to the children. As for the couple, I couldn't care less about what they choose to do.

 

Don't just sit there and throw big words at me. Back up with good logic why it is a good thing to grow up, and live, with genetic defects.

My parents employed a couple who were uncle and niece. Both are drunks and lazy (that part has nothing to do with incest, but stated nonetheless.).

Obviously, your family are blood relatives to you. People who are not in an incestuos relationship are not blood relatives. That is the difference, duh.

Freedom of body: One can do what one wants, consenting with another person, regardless of consequences both short and long term.

Because you share the same blood and because you know them longer than anyone else doesn't mean shit.

The thread is about incest, with people who do believe in incest, they are going to be having sex, possibly having a child. This thread is very much about pregnancy.

It's not right to jeopardize the life of a child just because you have to have intimate relations with a family-member.
