Cannabis and hemp are the same. "Marijuana" was the Mexican name given to cannabis.

Hemp seed is nature's perfect food. The oil from hemp seeds has the highest percentage of essential fatty acidsand the lowest percentage of saturated fats.
Sterilized hemp seed is commonly used as bird seed.
Rolling papers, like Bambu, are made from hemp paper.
In 1937, the Marijuana Tax Stamp prohibited the use, sale and cultivation of hemp/marijuana in the United States.
Five years later, during World War II, The U.S. Department of Agriculture released the film, "Hemp For Victory," which encouraged American farmers to grow hemp for the war effort.
Hemp is cultivated all over the world. Today, China, Korea, Italy, Hungary, Russia and France are among the countries that grow hemp for fiber, paper and other products.
Cannabis is classified as a schedule 1 drug by the Food and Drug Administration. Designated as a narcotic, it cannot be prescribed by physicians to patients.
In 1989, the DEA's own administrative law judge concluded that "marijuana is one of the safest, therapeutically active substances known to man."
Cannabis can be used as a medicine to treat nausea, pain and muscle spasms. It alleviates symptoms of glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, AIDS, migraines and other debilitating ailments.
Thirty-five states have passed legislation permitting medical use of marijuana.
Twelve Americans recieve prescribed marijuana from the U.S. government.
More than 400,000 Americans are arrested each year on marijuana charges.
More than 400,000 Americans die from diseases related to cigarette smoking each year.
More than 150,000 Americans die of alcohol abuse each year.
But in more than 10,000 years of usage, no one has ever died from marijuana

well most things can harm you. food, alchoal, tabbaco, COMPUTER (gives u bad eyes) and world of warcraft. but its only marijuana that gets bagged on for being bad for you? EVERYTHING IS BAD!!!!

 

I need some written proof so my friends stop being stupid.

 

Marijuana being illegal while alcohol is legal is proof that the government wants the worst for us.

 

Marijuana is only bad when mixed with other drugs. If your drug dealer ever asks if you want stronger pot, that means he added something to the mix. Marijuana alone is not a gateway drug, it's what people add to it. Yes, The Union is a documentary on basically everything you could ever wanna know about pot. Before I watched it I thought pot was bad. Now I couldn't be anymore pro-cannabis. Also, the difference between hemp and marijuana is that you can't get high from hemp

the only reason marijuana is illegal is cause in 1937 the hemp farmers were putting cotton farmers out of buisness so the cotton farmers created a bill to make marijuana ilegal... now thanks to those selfish bastards its ilegal

Alot of them are though, So meh. Some good info here, didn't read it all because I don't have the patience. I find nothing wrong with marijuana myself. Cigarettes on the other hand, I dont find any sense in, because they damage you, and nothing is obtained from them in return. Unlike marijuana where you get that "High" feeling.

 

You get a "high" feeling from cigarettes the first few times. After that, you're addicted. They are useful for calming the nerves. I don't care what any research says, every time I've smoked cigarettes, I've been more relaxed.

 

So your saying u get as high of tabbaco as you do on weed???? wtf??????? that sounds prety bull... i have heard u get a slight buz but not a full high
