Have you noticed that not once does it actually say he killed them? Considering his mental illness, perhaps he has such affection that he cannot part with his beloved dogs even when they die from neglect hence he kept them in freezers to stay close to them.

 

But 150? I doubt he didn't kill them.

 

Having over 250 dogs in one house, that is in terrible condition makes the perfect grounds for neglect that would result in mass death. Try to feed that many dogs in one house alone would result in a fair mass of death, coupled with neglect and rivalry between the dogs makes sense.

But yeah, the point TDD raises is very good. Having that many animals in one tiny house, with one person to look after them is definitely a cause for that many deaths. And adding to the fact that he froze them, may not exactly make him an "animal serial killer". But still, it's a pretty fucked up story.

How do you know he wasn't eating them?

 

Because, if he had an illness, he would most likely burn himself to death off of the stove. And if he was eating them raw, he would be getting diseases like none other.
