*sigh* merchanting...

Well, I've been seeing a lot of videos on YouTube about really rich RS players. I'm starting to want my old money back. At one point I had 10M, and could've done wonders with it. Long story short about my money disappearing, FUCK FRIENDS.

Anyway, I started a new character, and I'm gonna make this sucker a good one. Fresh off tut island, he's got 4k and 16 combat, made him earlier today. So I'm gonna start merchanting along with getting my combat up. I'll probably stop at like 95-100, I HATE cb training. HATE IT. But that's beside the point. I'm also going the merchant along with that. So where do I start?

I was thinking start with like 20 - 40k and merchanting lobbies. But even if I'm right on that, I don't know where to go from there. I barely even know what to do with lobbies. Buy low sell high? Basically?

Anyway, I need help with merchanting, so if anyone has any ideas, or suggestions, or tips, please post them here. I need the help. Thanks so much!

Lol you don't merchant with 20k, the g.e replaced w2 fally theres no point merchanting player to player anymore, you need 100s of mils to sucessfully solo merch an item, less if you go with a clan (9/10 they'l scam you anyway) make your account 99 range/def/mage solo armadyl 24/7 get your money there.

 

Merchanting clans are often inflating the market and responsible for crashing it. I say join a rs merchanting clan and get tips there. The best resource would be first hand accounts.

I was kind of thinking of that, but they merch with mils, and I need to learn how to get mils before anything.

 

You can still merchant on the g.e, review the grand exchange guide on the website and buy item's that are going to rise, once the g.e update's sell them for the updated price. Hope this sort of helps merkidge.

 

Ooh, interesting. I'll try that. Any amount of money you recommend starting with?

 

Fundamental trading:

Find a item like flax, swordfish etc...

Buy it for 2.5% under market price, sell for 2.5% above market price.

If market price is 10k, buy for 9750, sell for 10250, means 500 gp profit/item.
I do this sometimes, works great..
A good one to start with is flax =)

Lol merhcanting is loooong, why not do Hunter you can make 31m from going to 63-99 and it only take 2 weeks? Visit my Hunter service store in my sig if you want me to get you started and level it to 63? I also include a guide on how to hunt chinchompa's and a Ms Excel spreadsheet that i made myself which is designed to help organise all your chins in a simple chart? XD

You can also do iron, or if iron doesn't work for you you can do coal

 

Also if you want to make decent cash with the 20-40k your starting off with go to a bh world and sell lobbies there. People will be to lazy to switch to a normal world to get to the g/e and would most likely buy them from you for a few hundred gp over trade price.

I think 5-10k every 15min is max profit you can make in f2p.

 

Ok, I'll start with flax tomorrow and use that idea, sounds like a good way to start off.

 

If you get your smithing up to 30 and buy the iron and coal, you make a pretty good profit. You also make some, not much but some smithing exp.

 

And make it into what?

 

Steel Bars.
