What is wealth?

I hadn't been on WoW for a few weeks, and I activated my membership the other day to get my stuff out of the mailbox that I had made earlier in the month. I was meaning to post this earlier, but I didn't feel like logging on. ;o

Well, with that screenshot you showed what wealth is.... How do you make your gold?

 

Never played WoW, took me like 2minutes to find were it showed how much you had. I thought it was gonna be like millions and then I see 18K, is that a lot in WoW?

 

just a question, but do u play wow with the upgrades? such as lich king?
i cannot afford them but i dont want to play

You can make 50 Gold from mining a few nodes. Lol.

Herbalism / Inscription -- I barely use herbalism though. I bought most of the herbs, which kind of held me back on even greater profits... maybe...

Lol. I started out with 9,000 Gold, and I gave my friend 5,000 for his epic flying. With this 4,000 Gold remaining, I had my friend help me out a little about an hour a day when he was on for the next 2 weeks. In those 2 weeks, we turned that 4,000 Gold into around 32,000. The most he had ever had was 2,000G anyways, and now he sits proud with well over 10KG, as I split the earnings with him.
--In that 2 weeks, he was also gone for 5-6 days, as a result of Father's Day, and some issues as well. ;o

Oh, I see... right now, my two professions are Mining and Engineering (OMFG DALARAN AH!!)... they go well together, because while I'm farming Saronite, I often find gas clouds that I can extract with engineering. However, this gets QUITE repetitive. So, I've come to the conclusion that my next character will have two non-gathering professions at endgame... and I love whoring around IF anyway, so it works out great. I'm leaning towards Enchanting and Tailoring tbh.

 

18K isn't alot,alot but why don't buy the Bike? isn't it 18k? and like 280% speed?

 

7K is still a lot. It's quite enough to start doing this. ;o

Oh yeah.. I had to spend a little over 1,000 to get that 1-450 Inscription too.

Did I mention I had 450 mining, and unlearned it for Herbalism? ;o
-- It took me a while to get the Herbalism from 1-450 though. Just about 2 weeks, because I didn't care to try out the Herb/Scribe combo. Until I conversed with my friend did we put the plan into effect. :]

Engineering is okay, I suppose, but it's annoying and useless for me.

Are you talking about the Mekgineer's Chopper? If so, I'm not buying it until I have 30K-40K.

Mmm I hardly do anything on that toon as I'm currently leveling a Druid and Warrior. You'll probably stay ahead especially with the need to purchase two Epics and Cold Weather Flying soon.

anything up to 20k gold is easily attainable, i'd start caling it a wealth once you reach around 100kish tbh :/

 

That's not at all wealthy. Well off, yes.

Back in BC I knew multiple people with 100k+. That was wealthy.

 

18k gold is still a lot of gold. Not everyone plays the AH
for gold.
