How To Make A Runescape Private Server

This is my guide on how to make a runescape private server.

Step 1, Getting JDK
K first of all go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp and download the JDK one.

then Install It Now Move Onto Step 2

Step 2, Setting Paths
K for this step just go to mycomputer>view system information>advanced>enviromental variables, then go new and for name put in CLASSPATH and value put this in Crogram Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_12\bin\(or what jdk version u got) also if it says nodefclasssfound or something like that when you go to run it put this in instead Crogram Files/java/jdk1.6.0_12\bin\%CLASSPATH%;
Now do a new one again and make its name PATH and under value put Crogram Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_12(or what jdk version u got)

Now that youve done that move on to step 3.

Step 3, Getting No-ip
k for this step go to http://www.no-ip.com then click create account


Once registered download it


Then login and click manage hosts


Then click add host and fill in details


Now that youve done that move on to step 4.

Step 4, Getting A Source
K for this step you can either go to http://www.runelocus.com or
http://www.rune-server.org to get a source.

K once you have downloaded a source extract it then go into client.java and start editing a bit like presss ctr+h and then type in for example if you downloaded Cheezscape 80 type in cheezscape and make it change to your server name then do replace all. thats just basic coding look around for a bit more help.once done move onto step 5.

Step 5, Port Fowarding(only need to do if you have a router)
K this must be the step that everyone gets stuckon now there are two options to do i recommend you try using the first method first, it apparently does not work for evryone but hey give it a shot.
Method 1
k so first of all download utorrent from http://www.download.com/uTorrent/3000-2196_4-10528327.html?tag=mncol


Then install it and open it, then click options>prefrences>conection
Then make sure you have Upnp enabled with the boxed ticked and Nat Pmp box ticked and add windows firewall exception box ticked the change the port to 43594(unless when you downloaded source it says different.




Then click ok then exit utorrent and make sure its closed from the taskbar aswell.Now move onto step 6 but if method does not work come back to this step and try method 2.

Method 2
Proper portfowarding if method 1 does not work.cant say much here already got everything you need to do at http://www.portfoward.com just look for your router and then for game pick remote anything.
Note:Make sure you setup your static ip first there is a guide on how to do it at the portfoward site. Once done move onto step 6.


Step 6, Getting Your Server Ready

k for this step first of all well get a compiler go into your source find the compiler.bat file then edit it (try it first to see if it works but you will need to go edit it then change the jdk to the version you have)
then put this in

"C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_12\bin\javac.exe" -cp . *.java
pause
and change the jdk to the jdk version you have eg jdk1.6.0_12 you might have jdk1.6.0_11. Then go compile server and let it compile then edit your run server and just change the jdk to the jdk version you have then move onto to step 7.

Step 7, Running Your Server
K now if you used method 1 you will need to do this each time you run your server but if you used method 2 in step 5 then skip this step,
Using Method 1
K first have the no-ip client open whenever running your server then run your server then open utorrent and hit the play button then minimize utorrent and close your server then keep utorrent open and run your server again and then done your server is online.
Using Method 2
If you used method 2 in step 5 just run your server with the no-ip client open it always must be when running your server and then your server is online.Then move onto step 8.

Step 8, Clients
k for this step just all you need to do is download a client here i will list a few,

Then Simply run one of them and then put in your ip example yourserver.no-ip.biz

yo deathbal sam i did everthing u said in guide and when i run it says no response. i think the error was from something i discovered before i opened runserver so i can edit the jdk version but jdk wasnt mentioned once heres what i have for runserver right now plz help.

Yes u can well sometimes its weird though.Like for some people you can others you cant i always could tho.

Just leave as is and try run it if it dosn't work then it couldbe your paths or just add me on msn.
