Found my old-assed wee

Okay, so I found my wii after not having played it in ages because my parents said they threw it away but turns out it was in the garage the whole time in a box. I bought it back when it was rare, and so far have three games: GH3, SSBB, and speed racer.

Since I have been away from the wii world, can someone bring me up to date to the things I should do with it? I am talking about latest good games, stuff to mod the wii with, chips, software, etc
as well as stuff do buy online with wii points? I don't even know how that stuff works, can someone explain plox :love:

Buy a modchip for it. If you have one of the first ones you can easily get a WiiKey on a WiiClip, however thats if you are strapped for cash. I have one and its ass, I suggest getting a Wiikey 2 on a WiiClip, or the DriveKey.

On Topic: Nothing too epic has came out in the gaming department. I'd suggest you try or buy Super Smash Bros Brawl. It's probably one of the best and most popular game ever made. It's basically a Nintendo get-together with many characters from different games all fighting in one stage.

You can buy Wii points in your local retailers (I think you can also do it online). One redeemed you can buy different things online like mini-games and useful apps/channels.

Sell all games except SSBB, that's the only worthwhile game to play. If you have Wii Sports, which comes with the system, then get the motion sensor attachment for the wii remote that makes games with motion sensor much more realistic (ie swinging in tennis)

 

Don't get a modchip. If you havn't updated the system menu yet just do the twilight hack. 300 times easier.

 

No, with the Twilight Hack you have to deal with a bunch of software and code and if you screw up on thing you Wii is fucked! Its so much easier just to spend the 40 or 50 bucks on Modchip, it pays for itself in like 2 games lol.

I heard the Wii could be softmodded - no need for a modchip.
