Tracking scammer with Paypal?

Apologies if this is the wrong section, if so mod please kindly move.

I was scammed $100 around the same time last year. The guy told me to send money, do the "confirm/canel" w/e thing so that I couldn't file of fraud? Or so and took the money and signed off....

After that incident I quit RS DISGUSTED however I am back now and was wondering what can I do? Especially after 1 year? Is there something Paypal has that might give me a slight chance of charging the scammer for fraud and getting my money back?

I even had his real address for a while, but I think my paypal still has the transaction

 

If you paid him from credit card balance , you could fill out an chargeback from credit card and get your money back. but since it was 1 year ago.. dunno if you can do anything

The only way to know is to go to the bank and tell them all the information they need.

 

You can't win the case. He doesn't have any solid evidence that he got scammed. Banks also don't really support these RS Black Market trades as well.

On Topic: I believe you can still file a charge back via unauthorized dispute but if they find out you actually did authorize it, you could be in trouble for fraud as well. This is a tricky situation and this topic should be in "Help and Requests" under the User Education section.
