I heard about donating being closed, and I thought of a (good) solution.
The reason why they closed it was because it was too much time consuming for a VERY simple thing.

Why not make a Donating Moderator rank?
This way, no other staff member would have to deal with it.

The Donating Moderators would then forward the donated amount of cash to Sythe / whoever keeps the money, and would (be able to) give the donator the rank.

As for the Donating Moderator rank; I would suggest TJ to have it, since he has been affiliated with the donations before.
I do not know TJ, so don't flame me for this, but I see this as the best solution. I have been here longer than any of you can imagine, so I've been "watching over" Sythe. This is why I recommend TJ.

    Please take this into consideration.

    Kind regards,
    I Sell I

Would you just gtfo with these sorts of replies?
I'm just trying to help, and I'm not asking for More moderators of an excisting rank, I'm asking for a whole new rank.

Plus the main reason Sythe stopped TJ doing donations was he didn't like anyone else handling the donations but Matthew

I mean the donations in general, not just TJ's part.
This could be a solution to everything about donations, tbh.

Matthew is able to control the situation by himself.

    Enough said.

Is that why Donations are closed now?
    Get your facts right.

People lying about donating, people charging back, etc. is very time consuming.
Matthew also has his Administrator rank, and a life. I doubt he'll be able / want to do this by himself.

They are closed right now because the incoming donations were not enough, and were so little, that keeping the donation center up was useless, and more-so a waste of time.

I know my facts. Thank you.

They can't lie about donating? There were only a few methods of donating, and you couldn't lie about it. Either you did or you didn't. As in, either Matthew/Richard had to money, or they didn't.

How is that possible? They disabled the PayPal Donations long ago. Yes, I know TJ was in charge of this, but it has nothing to do with Matthew's end of the situation.

How can it be time consuming when there wasn't much to do? The lack of donations was just making it a waste of time.

His Administration abilities has nothing to do with it, and he had no problem doing it by himself. Read above.

They were closed 'cause it was too much time consuming for a very simple thing. Do I have to link you to where Matthew says this himself?

Complete idiots saying 'I want to donate, give me the rank first.' etc.
This is called lying as far as I know.
Believe me, there are people that try this.

They used to accept Paypal donations, this is why I stated the charging back part. I hope one day they will allow it again, but with own moderators, so Matthew wouldn't have to look at everything himself.
If anyone would charge back, the mod would simply ban the user, and Administrators wouldn't have to waste their time on this.
    This is the D-Moderator's task.

As for the 'how can it be time consuming...'
    Read above.

There is nothing to be said about his administration abilities having nothing to do with it.
Matthew would have to give priority to his administration rank, and the D-Moderators would deal with the rest.

    Matthew:
"The main reason is donations have slowed down so much that maintaining the donation system is not worth it..."

    From this thread:
    http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=647114

    For fucking sakes.

And they are obviously denied?! Duh? Who the hell would be stupid enough to give them the rank before donating. Are you implying Matthew is stupid? He's actually quite intelligent. Have you seen the XClient and Theme's he's created for mobile use?

That would just make things even that more confusing, and it's useless. If someone gets banned on Sythe that donated, they'll charge back in an instant. This is the reason it was closed in the first place... -.-

They would only charge back if they were banned. They would use the rank to make it look like they're trusted or something, and then just keep doing it over and over again with new accounts they make, or ones they hack. And the only person that takes part in handling donations is Matthew, who has the time to do whatever he pleases.

    -.-

Matthew's Administration mainly deals around making sure that the other Admins / Globals / Sectionals are all under control, and there is no drama going on between other staff. Changing of this and that, and just helping out where it is needed. He's been here for a long time, and is still a great asset to this 'company'. The donations are closed for now, and there's no use to argue about it.

And, from the words of Matthew:
"We apologize for any inconvenience and if anything changes we'll be sure to let you all know."

Stop kissing Admin ass. Thank you.

Well, you have your opinion, I have mine.
I'll wait for Moderators/Administrators to reply, since your word means nothing here.

I'm not 'kissing Admin ass'. I'm here telling you what is, and how things are at the moment.

Apparently you have an opinion, and I don't exist. *stuck up*

Absolutely hilarious because this is a 'User Suggestion'.

Hm. I'll just have Ryan take a look at this thread. ;o Useless spam/flame.

Please don't post unless you know what you are talking about.

    Obviously he is not.

Because they closed me down. I was bringing in a good amount of money, and matthew always got it.

There wasn't a lack of donations, atleast from my end. You need someone more active in the donation department, and you would be set.

    Edit/

When you have only two options in the donation thing, then of course donations will be slow..what do you expect? Seeing how that most traders on this site use paypal, its a given that you should allow it. I don't know of a bunch of people that use western union, and most kids can't send anything through the mail in fear of their parents.

I really don't care what MegaMatt says.
I only want opinions. I'm thinking that this might be a great solution.
If just Sythe wasn't such a selfish, stubborn guy.

Some people are led to a strong misconception here.

Other forums need donations to stay alive. Sythe.org does not.

Donations are not mandatory for the survival of this site. I sell I, the way you put your suggestion, you make it as if the person who accepts donations is a burden to hold. It is a strong responsibility, and you can't just throw it and someone and then slap them a rank and expect them to do it. A rank doesn't entice someone to "do the job" any better then without.

Sure, people donate money for a rank, but that involves little work as it ussually comes from their birthday money or parents pocket. But you can't just throw thow that burden at someone else with your statement "so no other staff member has to deal with it".

What we need is to wait and find a solution, not just find anyone "willing" to accept a rank to take donations.
