Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

I still haven't gotten an answer to my question earlier in the thread, so I feel the need to ask again:

Why would any same-sex couple WANT to be married in a church, when the Bible clearly states numerous times that homosexuality is a sin punishable by death? I don't get it.

 

The same reason why many people that work on Sundays are Christians. It says in the Bible that anyone that works on Sunday should be punished with death. Most Christians nitpick what they like and don't like from the Bible.

 

I think homosexual marriage should be fine with everyone, theres nothing different about homosexual's compared to hetrosexuals, apart from they are interested in the same sex. This is exactly the same as saying "I dont think you are right because you like Ice cream And i dont" In my eyes.

Im not gay, but theres nothing wrong with gay people, i have a few friends who are gay.

I don't believe in God, Therefore I see people getting married as a sign of love for each other and nothing more.

I believe they should.

My mum is a lesbian, she's getting married in August.

 

I didn't vote but I don't agree with homosexuality. Everybody has their own personal opinions. I believe marriage should be between man and a women. I don't judge those who choose differently then I do but I can't stand when a gay hits on me.

1. why do u think theres two reproductive organs that work together to reproduce, if the entire world was gay or lesbian there would be no repopulation
2. Man + Man or Woman+Woman is a friendship, they should stick to domestic partnerships.


Yes I am Christian and so I do support marriage as between a man and a woman.

Yea they should. It is their business and their choice.

 

I believe that it's up the population as a whole. I believe in majority rule.

In today's culture, or as a matter of a face many years ago, the definition of marriage has between a man an woman, there isn't anything wrong with me with a homosexual couple, as long as they don't affect me in a negative manner. So technically, homosexuals cannot get married, what they do is something else

 

The Bible establishes marriage as an institution between MAN and WOMAN. I have absolutely no problem with homosexuals, but when it comes to marriage I disagree. Christianity established marriage and set the rules for it, that's not something that will change. It's like a male basketball player saying he wants to play for the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association), but unfortunately there are set rules and regulations created by the league and those rules cannot change.

Any other institution would be perfectly acceptable, but marriage's rules are already defined and cannot be bent.

 

The only reason I referred to a Christian marriage is because it is the majority in the United States.

The only things to ever come out of Religion are bad things - The Crusades, Witch Hunts, the Christian Dark Ages. It still baffles me on how the money in America still says "In God We Trust", in this day and age.

Oh, and on topic regarding the poll, yes they should have a right. Love is love, and just because a few people who believe in imaginary friends think otherwise doesn't mean that gays shouldn't be given the same benefits than straight people have.

 

The world is becoming overpopulated. If anything, less repopulation is a GOOD thing.
