Obama, Like him or Dislike him?

I'm not a big fan of Obama, but i'm curious as to what you guys have to say.

 

Most people dislike Obama because of the apparent "It's so cliche to like a Black president".

No one actually takes the time to listen to his ideas. For starters, though, I like him. He's intelligent, he can hold his own in a debate, not to mention he's good-looking. I think he holds some promise in the development and growth of America.

 

In the longrun i suppose my mind will be changed but as of now his promises of a better economy not going smoothely are detouring me.

 

He has epic speeches.

 

I heard his rating has gone down from 67% to 60% or something.

Well it was going too, but it does seem rather harsh.

 

There's no point to like or dislike him, he's only a puppet to the international bankers.

 

I don't really like Obama, but it's not him that I have a problem with. It's his supporters. I remember in the news I saw that like 97% of black people voted for him (I don't remember the exact number). To be honest, a huge number of those people only voted for him because he's black.

That is a very funny video, and as biased as it may be, it's really true. The average person does not know what the fuck is going on. But either way, Obama is our president, so I hope he does a good job.

It leads you to the assumption, for example, that if Obama would have said, "I plan to do the worse possible job as president!", african-americans would have still voted for him. It's ridiculous.

 

I have listened to his ideas, I think you need to listen more closely. Try listening to Rush Limbaugh when you get the time. Obama's ideas are trash, its more of people supporting him because he's black.

 

Why have this thread? "dislike or like". That is bad, Omaba is our president and we should respect him, no matter if he is black or white. I am white, and wished mcCain won, because he has more experience, and smarter, but Obama is cool and has helped out so far, but made some dumb ass decisions.

 

i think that the fact that he has risen to become our president should demand respect whether you are his biggest fan or not. but personally i think he could have done better but eh hes a smart guy he will fix it i believe

Yeah I've listened to his ideas, they include keeping us in the war for 2 more years, saving money by cutting health care for the old, poor, and chronically ill, creating a police force that would be allowed to torture and kill terrorists without a due process of law. And not to mention, he just pumped $106 billion into Iraq.

It's true, Obama supporters really don't know what the fuck is going on. R.I.P America.

Maybe if you would have read instead of seeing, "good-looking" and responding with "omgftl insultinsullt", your post would have been valid, at the very least.

I don't claim to value the president because of his looks. I'm simple saying that in comparison to the other candidates, he tipped the scales.

I don't agree with his pro-war status. Nonetheless, war issues are only one thing that makes a president a president, and if you're choicing who to vote for solely for their views on war, what kind of voter are you?

Even disregarding that, I suppose you're just totally oblivious to the numbers of insurgents that are already targeting the U.S. and outposts. Perhaps if you looked at it from a logical point of view in the presidents and war-counslers shoes and not from, "Bring our shoulders home!", you'd see that if America had their soldiers retreat to there homes and classify the war as "over", it'd only create a wide-opening for attacks.

It's happened in the past, and as president, he has to do what he must do to make sure it doesn't happen again.

So the war being over would only create a wide-opening for attacks? Are you suggesting that we should stay in this war forever? Because terrorism isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It actually has increased by 607% since the war started.

Since the war started, terrorism by Jihadist groups actually increased by 607%. You will never win the war on terror don't you understand? Anyone can be labeled a god damn terrorist. The US Department of Defense even labels protesters in the US as terrorists!

Omg, I don't want to listen to this bullshit for 55 minutes. Obama is cutting $300-600 billion on Medicaid. Saving money by letting the old and chronically ill die is basically eugenics and exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany.

 

Obama is spending too much time outside of the US with foreign affairs.

If you're not willing to see the other debaters points, get out of the debate.

So you vote for a president solely on his views of war because you value life. So, basically, it'd be safe to assume that if the president said, "withdraw from the war!", you'd vote him in. This is also assuming that you're voting for him SOLELY on that, and everything else that he/she speaks about is non-existent to you. Well, sir, that may be the case for you, but when there are topics under the presidents control other than war that affect the lives of American citizens, voting for a president solely on his views of war is the biggest mistake you can make.

I'm going to quickly make an excuse for him and pretty much every human. If you expect a president, especially considering that he IS the president and the pressure that's on him, to never make a mistake in speaking, you're going to be very disappointed.
