Yes sir, you can press charges and have them fired if you wanted to. They deserve it too, for humiliating you in front of your friends, total assholes.

 

Crackers, i want you to find me a lawyer that will sue counselors for looking at a teens cell phone, through the text and embarrassing the child.

 

Your opinion is what makes kids think they don't have a chance. In the US federal courts children have a much higher chance of winning because of current child abuse stories, and not much is tolerated for an adult. UNless they are the parent they have no right to look through your texts because you could have something there just as sensitive as in your mail. Maybe you don't, but others may.

Alright guys I have a solution to this. Since there was no physical damage involved with your situation, (such as they smashed your phone and refused to pay for the damages) there really is no case. The only thing that could have been damaged was your feelings. People get their feelings hurt all the times by others and if that was the case the civil courts would be booked lol. People sometimes do sue over emotional distress but the judge just shakes it off 99% of the time. These adults are obviously assholes and have pathetic lives, be happy and rejoice that you are not them .

Sooo, you want to take advantage of his youth, and sue someone that only embarrassed him? Makes sense. It wasn't a big deal. I'm pretty sure people in his troop would be pissed if he did get them removed.

That's a pretty dumb thing for them to do. They were out of line and you could have done something. If an authority is out of line, you can use it to your advantage. You could have said something like give me the phone back or I'll tell my parents/their boss that you were looking and joking about my phone.

They'd give it back to you because you have something you can use to get them in trouble.

Similarly next time one of my teachers says something like, "I don't want any gays in my class." I'm going to walk out and have a free period. Even though I'm not gay.

I would have just laughed and said shit about them being pedos/dirty old men/abused their mothers. I seriously recommend taking this matter into legal grounds, they are not allowed to do this kind of shit.

 

I was in the scouts for 2 days like 4 years ago, went on a camping trip, it sucked. It rained cats and dogs, and we had to pick up trash on the side of the road in the rain. I left after the first camping day.

I didnt even know that they were allowed to take your phone. To be honest, you should sue them if you got lost or were in an emergency situation, your cell phone would be part of your survival.
