RuneScape Market License

I had this on my forum for a while and it seemed to work out just great--I let members pay for a market license (game markets only, since real life can have the police involved). It was just like $15 for a lifetime fee. It let them gain access to the RuneScape market for life (it was just like the donation ranks with the donator's lounge).

MOST scammers wont want to have to pay to scam. Because it was 100% paying and only a slim chance they'd actually get away with a scam before a ban. Too risky for them.

I project that it'll cut down scamming AT LEAST by half. Knock out the cheap kids that do it for free at least.

What you think? Doesn't have to be $10, could be more or less, or even have time limits attached.

 

But most people come to Sythe just to sell their account. Its not fair if they want to sell a $10 account. But the price of using the market is $15.

While I don't disagree that it would cut down on trading, I also think it might decrease trading activity significantly - something we don't want.

Maybe you could set up your own kind of licensing market board so that if people got verified by you they might be more trusted.

 

I agree with the other statements , but yeah what if people come to sell a cheap account and if some have multiple accounts on different cames maybe 4 games 15 from each? they would be paying for more than what the account is worth.

Why would people pay to use the market?

If we tried to charge a fee, then registration would drop - not only among scammers, but all users. Not only would we lose our appeal of being one of the largest RuneScape markets, but users would simply find another forum where they could trade for free. Thus our market would shrink more, etc.

Not the smartest idea.
