Help!

hey, I recently bought the WoW CD key. It was correct and everything. I'm now trying to put a Burning Crusade key but it says my account status is a Trial Account now? And when I go to log on WoW it go Authencating forever. Someone help?

 

I do not know about your first issue but it seems that many people are stuck at "Authenticating." They are flooding the WoW forums with the issue.

 

K that's prob why, man I got scared I've tried to put the code back in and said on a diff account.

 

When you buy the key, you're supposed to go to their homepage.

Go to Manage Account, and then you'll add the WoW CD Key from there, which, in turn, you'll be able to add the Burning Crusade Key.

HOWEVER. I've just tried to log onto the homepage website for World of Warcraft, and it seems that they are down at the moment. For some reason, it wouldn't let me log in, or edit any settings at all. It would simply give me the message as below.

Perhaps there is something wrong that WoW is currently trying to fix, and your issue will be resolved after the issue has subsided.

They said it's fixed but not for me.

 

Yeah lol I did that don't worry.

 

Make sure you are past the trial restrictions, try trading someone in game, if it doesn't work, try entering your original WoW CD key again.

 

I've tried that, and I'm having a problem logging on as alot of people are.

 

If they said it's fixed, perhaps everything is restarting as of now. Give it a few minutes before trying.

Indeed. Problem is, he can't currently log into the game it seems, because he can't get past "Authenticating".

If this persists, go to:
Start -> All Programs -> World of Warcraft -> "World of Warcraft - Repair"

This has been known to fix many miniscue issues and/or bugs that you are having with the game. Perhaps you should try it. Be warned, it will take a while, so you better have a Gameboy handy.

So just wait for a few minutes for everything to start back up then, and then try to log on. If still you are unable to do so, try the above said by repairing your version of WoW.

Nice, it doesn't let me upgrade now. Well ima go eat a gyro.

 

Try joining a Guild, or trading someone.

You could alternatively go to the homepage website, as said above, and check in the Account Management Section what your account status currently is, however.

Why won't it let you upgrade? There has to be a reason behind it, or you're doing something wrong. Perhaps you've already used the CD Key on another account or something?

If all else fails... just ask WoW support yourself or look on the forums for related issues. I upgraded to WOTLK today and it worked fine.
