How many bots could I possibly run?

Also, as a side question, which programs would be best to run multiple bots? What software/programs should I also run alongside the bots (ie. a VPN, or what)?

 

atleast 15, some of the bot softwares allows proxies so those and i suggest virtual machine+proxy/vpn (with the bots) if u want to play rs urself like main or something u dont want to get banned on.

 

^ i was running more than 15 on a 1st gen i7 in 2009 and still playing WoW and yt without 100% cpu, don't listen to that guy.

likely you could launch over 100 clients without issue, but you'll need lots of (paid) proxys to avoid chain bans

 

Thank you both for your replies, I appreciate it. I do have a few mains I intend to play on still, and I was planning something along the lines of keeping the bots entirely separate from my mains, and just enjoy the additional GP income source. No plans to sell, just to keep it all and use on my mains for skilling goals.

Still doing as much research as I can to safely bot, but most importantly, bot without my mains being tied up into it at all. If you guys happen to have any suggestions, or guides you recommend I check out as well, I would appreciate it.

 

There are a good number of factors to take into account tbh. Pretty hard to tell a rough number.

1. Client used: some clients are more resource intensive

2. Method used: some methods are more resource intensive depending on location and population (e.g. an almost-empty location like Lunar Isle vs a heavily populated area like Blast furnace)

3. Your client configuration: with some methods, you can set the fps down to something like 15 FPS when you're only doing something like mining/wc. Effectively lowering resource usage

4. The operating system you're using (minor)

5. What other software you're running in your system (mostly minor, but it depends)

Thats risky if ur going to bot 30+ accounts for example in hope to get gold, thats going to get ur mains banned too for gold farming once u get caught. i would do it on virtual machine with proxies/vpn.

 

So you're suggesting not even bothering with botting on my PC? Just use a virtual machine to keep it separated? I understand there's risk involved using my mains, but was hoping since I wouldn't be selling the gold, just keeping for my own personal use, would make it a bit more difficult to point fingers at the mains. Especially if I took every precaution to disassociate my mains from the bots. If a Virtual Machine adds to the support of protecting the mains, I will gladly look into more detail regarding it.

 

i suggest u to get a virtual machine and keep the bots in there (and get a vpn/proxy in the virtual machine) , since jagex is able to see ur ip/mac address info about VM here: Virtual machine - Wikipedia

You could probably run upwards of 50 bots if running Tribot. I just botted on my home PC until I made enough to purchase a dedi.
Bottings not really good on your CPU/RAM if you max it out but you can definitely do that amount of accounts on there. Just set up 50 Tribot clients and see what your CPU/RAM is at.

If using tribot you want socks5 ipv4 proxies.
You can run multiple accounts on a single proxy ( I usually stick to 1-4 accounts per proxy to avoid chain ban), the hardest part is finding a good proxy. A lot of these sellers on here sell garbage datacenter proxies that will get you banned in a few days so I would stay away from them.
