how can i host a cod4 server

well i wanna play my friend in cod4 and i wanted to host a server just so me and him could play for a bit so i clicked the new server thingy and made it all and he says he can't find it.

What do i need to do?

 

I don't think you can host one, well you can only if hes on the same network as you ie at your house.

 

You could try using a program called hamachi try and use a version such as 1.0.x.x as the older versions prove to be better.

It basically makes both computers think that they are connected over a LAN network and it shouldnt be too hard to setup once you download.
