Open source can't be fail its free even those the people who wrote this article obviously have no idea what they are talking about.

There are some questions that havn't been answered such as if the OS will be able to run exe applications otherwise it eliminates 99% of applications on the market which makes it basically a blank slate with google maps as the must have entertainment application on that pc(this sounds rather exciting..)

However if the OS can run exe's fast and effectively it should be good I wouldn't put it past google to make this a success seeing as they have the money to develope this quite nicely.

Sounds like another Linux those so maybe it could be good business wise for webhosting and such.

it looks like a piece of shit to me. cloud computing right now is no good because a pc can do better and wireless speeds cant keep up for laptops. all ms software will not work

 

This will fail and crash and burn.

 

I am pretty sure it'll be based on Linux, and use WINE for .exe, which I also believe will be implemented in a similar manner to the "XP Mode" in Windows 7

 

how can it be a failure in diguise, ive got the HTC google magic phone, it has google operating system on it, it's pretty good but meh, it will be different to computer.

 

I am going to Stick with Linux for my open source OS. Google's OS is going to fail.
